Ineffective for diarrhea
These tablets are dreadful compared to Now Foods lysine capsules. I've been using the capsules for years without any issues. I purchased these tablets only because the capsules were out of stock. Every time I take these, especially over several consecutive days, I experience loose stools or diarrhoea, which never occurred with the capsules, even at higher doses. Upon comparing the ingredients, I noticed this tablet contains silicone dioxide, which capsules do not. It also includes magnesium stearate instead of stearic acid. Research indicates that magnesium stearate may have a laxative effect. I do not recommend these; opt for capsules instead.
