Probiotic effectively reduces diarrhea
We investigated the effectiveness of the probiotic Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 in real-world settings for treating diarrhea. In a study involving over 30,000 patients, those treated with S. boulardii had a notable success rate of 77.8% in resolving their diarrhea, compared to just 15.8% in the control group.

This study showed that S. boulardii worked well even when patients were on antibiotics, outperforming traditional anti-diarrheal treatments.

Overall, S. boulardii demonstrates significant promise in managing diarrhea effectively.

Probiotics mitigate antibiotic-related diarrhea
We looked into how probiotics, especially Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745, can impact antibiotic-associated diarrhea. Through systematic reviews and clinical trials, we found that this yeast is effective in preventing and resolving diarrhea linked to antibiotic use. Since it isn't affected by antibiotics, S. boulardii can safely be administered at the start of treatment or within the first couple of days. This shows that using the right probiotics can help restore gut health after antibiotics, which is crucial for overall well-being.

We explored the effects of Saccharomyces boulardii on diarrhea caused by the cancer drug abemaciclib in a study involving thirty rats. The rats were divided into three groups: a control group, a group receiving only abemaciclib, and a group receiving both abemaciclib and Saccharomyces boulardii.

Our results indicated that the group treated with Saccharomyces boulardii showed a significant reduction in diarrhea severity and weight loss compared to the group that only received abemaciclib. Furthermore, histopathological evaluations revealed less inflammation in the Saccharomyces boulardii group. Overall, this suggests that Saccharomyces boulardii might be a beneficial treatment option to alleviate chemotherapy-induced diarrhea.

Effective for diarrhoea

Replacing Enterola! Excellent preparation! It contains lactose, which was problematic for our baby's milk intolerance. We previously struggled with persistent diarrhoea until our gastroenterologist prescribed Enterol to stop it and eliminate harmful intestinal bacteria. Saccharomyces boulardii is excellent, but we couldn't find a lactose-free version. Nau Foods' preparation has been a lifesaver during critical times for our family, as it aids in cases of poisoning and diarrhoea, effectively binding harmful bacteria without impacting good flora. Additionally, it's four times cheaper than Enterol for a five-day course!

Herbal alternative works

Initially sceptical, I’ve become a believer! After three weeks of watery diarrhoea, I consulted a GI specialist who prescribed the costly antibiotic Xifaxan. Instead, I researched herbal alternatives and tried NOW saccharomyces boulardii. To my surprise, I had my first normal stool in nearly five weeks. While I plan to supplement with additional products, I recommend this affordable alternative seriously.

Probiotic reduces antibiotic-associated diarrhea
We examined how a high-dose, multistrain probiotic mix called Sinquanon helps prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) in adults taking broad-spectrum antibiotics. This well-structured clinical trial involved 564 participants, half receiving the probiotic and half a placebo.

Results showed that fewer people in the probiotic group experienced AAD—only 9.2% compared to 25.3% in the placebo group. This promising improvement suggests that Sinquanon may significantly enhance gastrointestinal health during antibiotic treatment without causing harmful side effects.

Probiotics show potential for AAD
We looked into how probiotics might help manage antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) in children through a review of systematic reviews. Our review considered various databases and included 20 studies, evaluating their reporting quality and overall evidence strength. While we found that higher doses of probiotics show promise in preventing AAD, caution is needed as many studies had significant quality gaps. Overall, probiotics could benefit kids facing AAD, but more robust research is essential for clearer recommendations.

I did extensive research before purchasing this product. After contracting an infection in the hospital, I experienced intense stomach pain and uncontrollable diarrhea. This product stopped it, and I was truly amazed at the results. I will avoid antibiotics in the future as the infection can remain dormant. Taking Saccharomyces Boulardii daily has made my digestive tract and colon feel wonderful.

I've recommended this for cats with diarrhea for years. Personally, I have experienced diarrhea since moving back to my farm due to the well water's high mineral content. I decided to try this for myself. After taking 2 capsules three times a day, the diarrhea was gone in just 3 days! After 3 weeks, I've reduced to 3 capsules daily with continued good results.

Supplement enhances gut treatment efficacy
We evaluated the impact of a specific supplement as an added therapy in traditional treatments for gut issues. Our systematic review combined results from various studies and looked at everything from eradication rates to side effects like diarrhea and bloating.

We found that using this supplement significantly improved eradication rates while also lessening side effects, including diarrhea. This suggests that it could be a beneficial addition to conventional therapies, helping to ease some common adverse reactions.

Probiotics show limited effectiveness
By diving into existing studies, we found that probiotics, particularly strains like Saccharomyces boulardii, might help prevent Traveler's Diarrhea (TD). Our systematic review included ten well-structured trials, applying rigorous standards to assess the effectiveness of these probiotics. While some strains showed promise in reducing the risk of TD, others, like Lactobacillus acidophilus, did not perform well unless combined with others. Overall, the evidence suggests limited but potential value in using probiotics for TD prevention, meriting further exploration.
