Pleasant discovery with excellent results

For years the fam has relied upon Trader Joe's [TJ] Papaya Pineapple Enzyme product to aid with our digestion. A couple of months ago the product vanished from their shelves and upon inquiry, we learned it had been discontinued. Disappointing news, but, given my tenacious nature I searched Amazon for a replacement product. We've used other NOW supplements and have come to trust the brand. Which led to order placed, and received, and incorporated into our feeding regimen. The first time we found it to be incredibly potent. Adjustments were made to aid in our satisfaction which came about easily. All subsequent applications have been a success leading the fam to agree that the TJ product was 'candy' versus the incredible results through our use of the NOW Super Enzyme product. Softer stools. No indigestion, and the feeling that we've found the answer to digestion aides to our great benefit. We also found this supplement to be very effective in the digestion of red meats. My routine includes taking one capsule before my two daily meals. Anything eaten between these two meals is affected by the initial morning dose and therefore does not require taking additional capsules. Here's my caveat: If you exceed your dose you will enjoy very loose stools. So, find your threshold and allow the supplement to do its job. Fats, proteins, and carbos all digest well which in turn provides your body with the nutrition it requires. Magic. Highly recommended

Gallbladderless??? This is a MUST

Everyones experience is different. I had my gallbladder removed in 2012 and Ive have had serious issues with constipation,bloating,slow metabolism... well I take these with every meal and now I can use the bathroom normally. It really makes a difference. But it does give you acid indigestion if you take it with little food or if you take it right before laying down. Be sure to take with plenty of water and FOOD. And I dont know about pain relief because I never really had pain anyways.. but I GAVE IT 4 STARS because of the acid issue

I am not sure I posted anything, maybe I did at first. I have been taking this supplement since November. I had my gallbladder removed 11/16/2016.I read a lot on it before I had it removed. I was worried I would be that few % to gain weight, so I started doing some research. My bf is a chemist, we chose this product because it seemed more natural & the real stuff. Compared all ingredients vs capsules to everything else. I am also that low % that ended up with IBS-C after my gallbladder was removed. Taking this twice a day prevents me from having horrible stomach pains after certain things I eat. When I take it at night time, it helps me be able to use the bathroom twice a day. I do have indigestion, but I have had that for years and take protonix. I would recommend this to anyone that is having their gallbladder out and worried about gaining weight. Or someone that is facing the weight gain problem now. Try it. At first, it may seem like this product is causing stomach issues, but that is not the case. Your body takes time to adjust without a gallbladder because your liver is doing all the work. Keep in mind that whether you have IBS-C or IBS-D, bad foods and even certain healthy foods can hurt your stomach just the same. I started taking this product as soon as the Dr told me I need to have surgery, I wanted to be prepared and not be on that end to gain weight without it

I do believe I had low stomach acid

Update- while taking these I experience cold like symptoms, stuff head, chest cold, headache, could it be yeast die off? Can not take right now I self diagnosed myself , as Omeprazole helped but then burning would start all over again. So I'd double up, my goodness all the while I was getting worse. Honestly we out too much faith in Doctors. You have to be your own advocate, ready, study, research, connect, counsel, yep it can suck up a lot of your free time, but your health is wealth. I did the baking soda and water test. I didn't burp for a hour. Always having this burning in my throat without burping up liquid. Burping air killed. Painful enough for tears. This has been going on for a least two years that I have documented. I started this enzyme, as I've tried other digestive enzymes before (digest gold which gave me acid reflux or the silent reflux ) but they did not have the HCI in it. Since starting these I have not had any issues at all. I hope this will help me assimilate my Crohn's medication better. Without proper PH my medication won't dissolve where it needs to. I take it after a few bites of my meal, at every meal. Basically 3 times a day. I use to lay awake with a pounding chest , indigestion that would lead to panic attacks and nausea and rancid stool . More than that, loss of hair, I could pull on strands of hair, pull them out and it wouldn't hurt. Nails brittle. Food in Stool. Dry skin. Pregnant belly after eating, just awful. I feel so good these days. I. Am so happy to come across this product. I Bless this company for making a wonderful product. I take their NOW physllium, NOWenzymes , NOW VIT B12, zinc by pure encapsulation, and will start add HCI by NOW to my enzymes for more of a punch. I see people combo these enzymes and HCI , I want to see if I improve even more. I Hope this may help someone

I suddenly started having awful indigestion issues. It seems like it's been in the last few months, and just about everything I ate was bothering me. I knew I didn't want to be taking an antacid on a daily basis, so I looked for information on what kind of supplement might help. Somewhere I found something about prebiotics instead of probiotics, and in doing a search, I came across these Super Enzymes. I've been taking them twice a day (with breakfast and evening meal), and I've definitely noticed a difference. The bottle recommends once daily, but I noticed that one or two reviewers were having better success with two per day, and it's the same for me. I was at a point where coffee was bothering me (mostly burping), and now it doesn't bother me at all or only slightly. Evening meals had reached a point where I was avoiding certain foods (raw cabbage on salads), and even so, I was still uncomfortable in bed. If it didn't happen as soon as I laid down, then I ended up waking up later on, needing to sit up because my stomach was so uncomfortable. I had even reached a point where I was occasionally experiencing acid reflux. I've only been taking these supplements for two weeks, and I'd say I'm 90% better

Great for my GI Track, Easy on My Wallet, Makes Grandma Proud!

After hearing Robb Wolf recommend NOW Foods Super Enzymes again & again, I finally decided to try them out. It has now been over a year, and I am still taking them with every meal (although I have titrated down from 4 per meal to 2 per meal). My wife and I eat primarily Paleo, with me adding in milk in order to try and maintain weight and strength. This means I put down generous amounts of protein and fat (and yes dairy) at every meal. Prior to the Super Enzymes, I would suffer frequent bouts of indigestion and extended trips to the bathroom, especially after protein dense meals. After listening to Robb Wolf's podcast, I decided to add Super Enzymes to my daily routine following his protocol. It took a week or two to get everything dialed in, but after the initial adjustment by GI track was greatly improved. The bouts of indigestion disappeared, and I became as regular as a clock with my trips to the bathroom (my grandmother would be so proud, she used to track our BM's when we were kids). All in all its a great product that is dirt cheap. I have tested and tried many supplements, and most don't stick. Now Foods Super Enzymes have become a staple that go with me everywhere. Highly recommended

Excellent support for those without a Gallbladder! indigestion disappeared after a week.

I've been taking these for 3 months, after about a week I noticed a pretty huge difference. I had my Gallbladder taken out 2 years ago, which got rid of my extreme cramps, but didn't fix my indigestion, because my Gallbladder wasn't functioning, I wasn't making enough bile to eat normal meals. Now with this 100mg dose of Ox Bile, its enough when I take one with a meal that it has eliminated my indigestion! Awesome, no more acid reflux, nasty burping at night, waking up at 1 am to take a pepsid ac. So I think the key is finding the right amount of Ox Bile to match your need for digestion. I started with a 30 mg one and that wasn't quite enough, so I just use that one for lighter meals or ice cream, that sort of thing. But these enzymes made by NOW have been a life changer for me. Worth a try under $20

Seems to help

I had my gallbladder removed when I was in my 20s and have struggled with issues since. This seems to be helping with the indigestion and other gastro problems I've been having. I will say its not made things worse
