Can NOW Supplements NAC Help with Sore Throat?

Okay, I love amazon reviews and I'm always so thankful for them! This is my first review for one of the NOW brands, so bear with me. I have been on an amino acids kick lately, reading about how helpful and beneficial they are to so many different things, and it seems like NOBODY knows about how important or effective they can be! When I felt a little bit of a Sore throat come on, followed by congestion, I immediately wondered if there was an amino acid supplement that would help with it. Through reading reviews here and extensive online searching, I went ahead and purchased, knowing that with Prime it would be here in 2 days. I got my bottle yesterday and took one right away. Within probably 10-20 minutes, I felt the congestion ease up and I can breathe SO much more clearly now! Usually I resort to nasal sprays, which I hate, because they are habit-forming, but with the Acetyl Cysteine, so far it feels like I won't be needing to use any. As a precaution, I am also taking higher doses of Vitamin C, mixed with a major brand's fizzy tablet cold supplement to help feel better overall, but those two cannot compare to the immediate relief I've felt with NAC. I am a crossfitter, so I've been trying to take more amino acid supplements that focus around my training, and Glutamine for muscle recovery is on that list. Even though I've eased up on my training while I've had this cold, I've maintained my glutamine supplementation, as I read that it also helps to heal/recover from colds more quickly. In any case, if you have congestion or a lot of phlegm build up, I definitely recommend trying this
