Evening primrose oil benefits heart health
We examined how dietary supplements, specifically evening primrose oil (EPO), impact heart health in older rats under stress. Rats that received EPO showed a notable reduction in severe ventricular fibrillation compared to those fed sunflower seed oil without gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).

Interestingly, while borage oil, which contains more GLA, didn't provide any extra benefits, it indicates that GLA plays a crucial role. However, the findings primarily apply to aged rats, so further studies are necessary to determine the overall effectiveness in heart disease management in different populations.

I got this for my perimenopausal mother, but I take it too. It's great for heart health and has omega content. She dislikes fish taste, so this is perfect for her, and it benefits my hair as well.
