Limited reactions to soya lecithin
We explored whether soya lecithin poses a risk to children with non-IgE-mediated soya allergies. Conducting a double-blind, cross-over study, we involved children aged 8 months to 5 years, using a custom biscuit to administer either soya lecithin or a placebo.

Ultimately, only one child showed a slight reaction to lecithin, suggesting it may be safe for most children with this type of allergy. However, any kid with a confirmed reaction to soya should still avoid it to be cautious.

Lecithin aids DGLA in allergies
We explored how a lecithin-emulsified form of tridihomo-gamma-linolenoyl-glycerol (DGLA) influenced allergic responses in mice. After injecting the emulsion, we observed significant increases in DGLA concentrations in immune cells. Remarkably, just 0.05 mL of this emulsion substantially suppressed the delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) reaction, demonstrating strong potential for allergy treatments. In contrast, a soybean oil emulsion did not yield any benefits. Our results highlight lecithin's role in enhancing the effectiveness of DGLA for allergy management.

Cedrol-loaded NLCs reduce allergies
We examined how cedrol, delivered via nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) that include lecithin, affects allergies, specifically anaphylactic reactions. In tests with mice, the NLCs showed a significant ability to reduce allergic responses by suppressing mast cell activity and histamine release.

The results indicate that administering cedrol-loaded NLCs one day before an allergic reaction can be effective in preventing these responses. While the findings are promising, they suggest that further research is needed to fully understand the therapeutic potential of lecithin-based treatments for allergies.

We consume lecithin as a family and chose sunflower, which suits everyone. No need to worry about allergies or hormonal disruptions. I take three capsules daily, enjoying their seed-like taste as a meal replacement.

Improves focus
I purchased sunflower lecithin from NOW Foods and was quite pleased. I mainly use it to support brain and liver function and to lower "bad" cholesterol. I appreciate that it is sunflower lecithin rather than soy, making it more suitable for those with soy allergies. After a couple of weeks, I found my concentration improved, and my overall well-being was enhanced. Although the capsules are large, they are smooth and easy to swallow. Additionally, I noticed an improvement in my skin condition.

Eases allergy symptoms
We drink lecithin as a family. Children take 1 capsule, while adults take 2. The capsules are large, but if held in the mouth briefly, they soften and are easier to swallow. Lecithin is recommended for supporting the nervous system, brain, bile, and liver functions. Periodic intake has alleviated my husband's long-term allergy symptoms during the season. While I cannot say they have completely disappeared, he has found the experience much more manageable!

I take this lecithin since my son is quite allergic, and there's a low chance of allergy from sunflower lecithin. We all consume it. The capsules are a bit large but don't hinder quality. Children enjoy chewing them. I recommend it!
