Cariban effectively relieves pregnancy nausea
We examined how Cariban, a combination of doxylamine and pyridoxine, helps alleviate nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Using a controlled study involving 12 healthy women, we looked at how the modified-release capsules perform in the body compared to other forms.

Our findings showed that Cariban is absorbed quickly and maintains its effectiveness over an extended period. This makes it a reliable option for managing nausea in pregnant women, underscoring its value in clinical practice.

We examined a case involving an 82-year-old woman with advanced cervical cancer who experienced nausea and significant dietary intake decline. Her thiamine levels were critically low, indicating a deficiency that might have contributed to her condition.

After receiving 100 mg of thiamine intravenously, we observed notable improvements within a couple of hours. Her dietary intake increased significantly, from barely eating to nearly full meals. This suggests that addressing thiamine deficiency can positively impact the quality of life in patients receiving palliative care and highlights the importance of proper diagnosis.

We explored the effects of pyridoxine, or Vitamin B6, on nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, conditions known as NVP. By reviewing several studies, we found that Vitamin B6 supplementation, whether on its own or combined with other treatments, showed notable improvements in reducing nausea.

Out of 18 studies examined, eight demonstrated that pyridoxine alone is effective, while six indicated positive results when it was paired with other therapies.

Overall, our findings suggest that Vitamin B6 can be a helpful option for pregnant women dealing with these uncomfortable symptoms.

Pyridoxine shows potential for PONV
We investigated whether pyridoxine, or vitamin B6, could help reduce postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in patients after gynecological laparoscopic surgery. In our study, patients were split into two groups: one received pyridoxine while the other got a placebo.

Those who took pyridoxine, alongside standard medications, reported lower levels of nausea post-surgery. While the results show promise, further research in varied populations is essential for a more definitive conclusion.

Migraine relief

4 of our family members use this vitamin to prevent migraines or stop them at the first symptom. Caffeine, dairy, chocolate, etc., trigger migraines. This B-50 vitamin builds resistance to symptoms and stops nausea when taken at onset. Each family member takes 5-6 capsules if one sneaks through. It lessens the duration of weakness from that awful fatigue.

Energy boost

Compared to Japanese supplements, Kotara's B50 is darker and has a stronger vitamin scent, indicating higher quality. As a practitioner of Fujikawa Therapy, my health had been deteriorating on a low-carb diet until I switched to supplements from iHerb. The dizziness, migraines, and nausea I faced for months nearly vanished within days after the change, providing me energy to be active, even in winter.

Discomfort noted

Drinking it on an empty stomach or after only a protein breakfast can result in discomfort throughout the day and some nausea. However, when consumed with a proper meal, I’ve never experienced any stomachaches or nausea with B50 supplements.

Mitigates symptoms
Four family members use this vitamin to ward off migraines or stop them at the onset. Extreme stress ignites the symptoms. The yeast-based B-50 builds resistance to symptoms such as nausea, and taking it at the onset stops them immediately. Dosage varies for each family member, but they take 5-6 capsules at the first signs to lessen the fatigue that follows.

Improved sleep

I decided to take it with tryptophan as I knew it would enhance the effect. I could sleep well with just tryptophan, but with this B-50, my sleep has improved. There was no niacin flush, although the urine became fluorescent. If I felt nauseous after drinking it, I had to eat something first. Previously, taking vitamins like niacin on an empty stomach caused severe stomach pain and nausea, so I ensure I drink this after meals.

Provides energy
I’m pleased with this vitamin B because it not only benefits my skin, hair, and nails but also boosts energy, which I truly miss. The dosages appear normal compared to other American supplements. B vitamins should be taken with food to prevent nausea. Therefore, I take one capsule daily with breakfast.
