Vitamin A reduces cholesterol plaques
We explored the effects of all-trans retinoic acid (atRA) on atherosclerosis in rabbits fed a high-fat diet. In an experiment where rabbits were divided into groups, some received atRA while others received atorvastatin or both.

We found that atRA effectively reduced plaque size, comparable to atorvastatin, and their combination was even more effective. Additionally, atRA improved the serum lipid profile, suggesting it could be a valuable tool in managing cholesterol levels.

Vitamin A may help cholesterol levels
We examined the effects of a vitamin A-enriched diet on cholesterol levels in glucose-intolerant obese rats. Over a 14-week period, we fed two groups of rats—one received a standard diet, while the other enjoyed the vitamin A boost.

Our findings revealed that the vitamin A diet successfully lowered high cholesterol levels and improved HDL cholesterol, but it worked through different mechanisms than previously thought. Importantly, while we did see positive changes, the study indicates that the benefits may vary based on individual factors.

Vitamin A lowers cholesterol in rats
We explored how vitamin A affects cholesterol levels in obese rats with high cholesterol. By administering different doses of vitamin A, we found that a dose of 52 mg/kg significantly decreased the unhealthy HDL-cholesterol levels after 20 weeks. This feeding regimen increased the expression of proteins that help with cholesterol transport. However, the lean rats didn’t show similar benefits. The findings suggest that vitamin A might offer a way to improve cholesterol metabolism in obese individuals, but more research is needed before making any human recommendations.

Vitamin A is necessary for mucous membranes, so I purchased it for my husband, who suffers from severe asthma. He couldn't sleep well due to breathlessness, but after taking 100,000 IU daily for about a month, it became much easier for him. His daytime cough has also significantly decreased. However, it’s important to consume vitamin K alongside high doses of vitamin A.

Skin healing noted

I've taken this for about a month; for years, I had slow healing of skin wounds. After taking it, my condition has improved considerably. Initially, I blamed my issues on immunity, but it seems to be related to vitamin A deficiency due to poor diet. I only took 25000 IU every other day, but the high content appears to strain my liver. While this dosage is effective, I sometimes feel dizzy or have digestion difficulties. If you're concerned about liver burden, consider liver nutrients alongside it.

We investigated how antioxidant therapy, including vitamins A and E, affects patients with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) who were involved in the Chernobyl disaster.

By studying 72 patients through blood tests and ultrasounds before and after treatment, we found that this combined treatment improved antioxidant levels in the body.

It also resulted in lower cholesterol levels and better liver health overall. Thus, vitamin A therapy showed promise in managing cholesterol and other metabolic issues in these patients.

Vitamin A shows limited cholesterol effects
We explored how antioxidant vitamins, particularly vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E, impact cholesterol levels in rabbits fed high cholesterol diets.

In our research, we noted that while all treatment groups saw a reduction in total cholesterol and triglycerides, vitamin A did not perform as well as vitamin C, vitamin E, or simvastatin.

Ultimately, simvastatin stood out for significantly increasing beneficial HDL-C levels, while vitamin A showed limited effectiveness in comparison.

Eye fatigue has definitely decreased, and although I aimed to control sebum, reducing my oil paper usage by 30% without adverse reactions from the high dosage shows promise. I will continue to purchase due to its small size, which makes swallowing easy. I'm concerned about quality deterioration at high room temperature, so I refrigerate it with a desiccant upon receipt.

Skin complexion improved

A high-quality, affordable vitamin A in a significantly high dosage. Recommended by my dermatologist, these large doses mustn’t be taken without proper guidance. After a month, my post-acne scars have reduced, wounds heal faster, and my complexion has improved. However, pregnant women or those planning pregnancy should avoid them. The small capsule size makes it easy to take; I only need one per day.

I was advised by my doctor to take vitamin A, but I don’t use it daily, as long-term use isn't recommended. Although this seems fine for high doses, I haven't noticed any significant improvement so far.

Corns healed remarkably
20 people found this helpful
Works well, but be cautious with high doses. I took this with a high-protein diet to treat my corns, which hadn't changed for years. They were fully healed in a few months. Initially, I took 4 tablets (100,000 IU) daily but felt overwhelming fatigue, prompting me to stop. After resting, my condition improved in about a week. Vitamin A can be harmful if not taken with carrier proteins, so I advise increasing protein intake with higher ingestion levels.

I was disappointed to find out that this vitamin A contains oils, as I am vegan and prefer clean, oil-free eating. After taking it, my cholesterol levels unexpectedly rose, which has never been a concern for me before.
