Iron overload concerns

Bad: Contains alfalfa (iron/oxidant); side effects. My primary objection is that it contains alfalfa, which I only discovered after purchasing. This product comprises 100mcg K2 + 300mg alfalfa per pill, which contains a large amount of iron (7% of the recommended daily value in 100g). Iron is an under-recognised oxidant and can cause oxidative stress. I began taking this product while trying to resolve my slightly low hemoglobin, but soon suffered symptoms associated with iron overload. My doctor dismissed my concerns about iron, despite my worsening condition. Research revealed iron is inflammatory, especially for those with thalassemia like my family. After realising the source of my nausea and other symptoms was likely this supplement, I've since discontinued it, believing it’s better to seek another K2 product without alfalfa.
