One of the better multivitamins
Opti-Men is one of the better multivitamins on the market, and especially when you factor in price. It contains adequate amounts of most of the essential vitamins and minerals to ensure you're not deficient in anything vital. I would have liked to see more K1 and the inclusion of K2, as well as a bit more zinc and magnesium (to constitute a proper ZMA replacement), but these aren't "make-break" points. Opti-Men's real weakness, in my opinion, is in the additional ingredients, which are mainly a handful of relatively small proprietary blends (100mg here, 50mg there) and small amounts of antioxidants. I like some of the individual ingredients chosen, like grape seed extract, panax ginseng, zeaxanthin, and lutein, but the dosages are FAR smaller than the amounts used in clinical research, which often means there's too little to do anything notable in the body. All in all, Opti-Men is an inexpensive way to prevent micronutrient deficiencies, but its formulation doesn't do much more than that. A product that does, however, is LEGION Triumph, Multivitamin Supplement For Men and Women to Improve Health, Increase Performance, and Reduce stress, 30 Servings , which I came across a couple weeks ago and couldn't believe my eyes. Not only is Triumph's array of essential vitamins and minerals comprehensive and properly dosed, it contains over a dozen additional ingredients with proven health and performance benefits, and includes them at clinically effective dosages, which means we can actually count on reaping the benefits shown in research. By the end of the first week of taking Triumph I was already noticing improvements in energy, mood, cognitive function at work, and quality of sleep. Check it out--there's nothing else like it on the market
