Riluzole effectively reduces bone pain
The TREK-1 potassium channel is involved in both the analgesic and anti-proliferative effects of riluzole in bone cancer pain.
Most Relevant Research
We explored whether riluzole could help ease bone pain caused by prostate cancer. Using a mouse model that mimicked human bone cancer pain, we treated some mice with riluzole while others were not.

Our findings indicated that riluzole significantly reduced pain sensitivity without hindering cancer progression or bone health. This treatment seems effective in offering relief from unpleasant pain sensations associated with bone metastases.

No more stomach pains
Most Useful Review
Sweet, I heard that whey protein is better absorbed, so I'm drinking this. Both my child and I experience bloated stomachs when we consume WPA protein; therefore, we use WPI with this ingredient. I no longer suffer from stomach pains due to its formulation.

Great standard product. If you're simply looking for a natural protein, this is the one to get. There are better protein powders with added benefits, but you won't find a better natural protein for the money. I've been using this for 7 months, and I haven’t had a cold since I started. I consume this as soon as I wake up with a banana, which jump-starts my metabolism for the day.

A2 milk's mixed impact on bloating
The Effect of A2 Milk on Gastrointestinal Symptoms in Comparison to A1/A2 Milk: A Single-center, Randomized, Double-blind, Cross-over Study.
Most Relevant Research
We aimed to understand how different types of milk affect bloating, particularly focusing on A2 milk versus regular A1/A2 milk. In this study, we conducted a randomized, double-blind, cross-over trial with 40 participants who reported experiencing gastrointestinal discomfort after consuming milk.

Over two weeks, each participant consumed either A2 milk or A1/A2 milk, separated by a two-week washout period. Using various assessments like symptom rating scales and digestive symptom questionnaires, we examined the effects on bloating and other gastrointestinal symptoms.

Our findings revealed that A2 milk did increase reports of bloating and loose stools compared to the A1/A2 type. However, participants also indicated experiencing less abdominal pain and urgency when consuming A2 milk. Interestingly, fecal calprotectin levels were less elevated after consuming A2 milk, particularly in males, suggesting that A2 milk may help alleviate some digestive discomfort.

Overall, while A2 milk was associated with less abdominal pain and urgency, some individuals did experience increased bloating. Despite this, the study didn't report any significant adverse effects, suggesting that A2 milk could be a viable option for those with mild digestive issues related to milk consumption.

Most Useful Review
Consistently good. I've used this for years without issues. Taste and consistency have always been reliable. I've ordered it from Amazon over five times, and it has maintained the same quality. Unlike other products, I've had no issues with bloating or taste, although I’m not a huge fan of Stevia, I find it fine in ON natural whey.

IgY shows promise against pathogens
Growth-Inhibitory Effect of Chicken Egg Yolk Polyclonal Antibodies (IgY) on Zoonotic Pathogens , spp. and , In Vitro.
Most Relevant Research
We explored the effectiveness of chicken egg yolk immunoglobulin Y (IgY) in combating foodborne pathogens, a growing concern in food safety. By isolating IgY from the yolks of immunized hens using a special dilution technique, we confirmed its ability to specifically target harmful bacteria.

Our evaluations showed that IgY could significantly inhibit the growth of major foodborne pathogens. In fact, a single dose of 0.5 mg/mL of IgY managed to reduce bacterial counts by as much as 7 log in some cases. We noticed that while this dose was impactful across the board, some pathogens required repeated doses for optimal effect.

These findings suggest that chicken egg yolk IgY might serve as a sustainable and ethical alternative to traditional antibiotics in livestock management. Our next steps will involve further testing in live animals and considering large-scale production methods of IgY for practical applications in animal healthcare.

Dislike protein drink
Most Useful Review
Zero donut and cake elements! I was intrigued by the vanilla flavour, which I believed would be hard to find in Japan. Unfortunately, I found it unpleasant, especially when mixed with water rather than milk. It has a strange vanilla taste that makes me question why I would drink this over tastier protein options. I will finish it but only in the best conditions or when I need to gift it reluctantly. It’s perfect for such occasions!
