I usually like ON products and use their whey protein regularly. However, this glutamine product just didn't pan out. Yes, it is pure white in color and nearly tasteless (check, check), BUT it does not disperse or dissolve in water. It beads up and adheres to itself forming a rather strange, unnatural, and unappetizing ball of powder that floats on top of the water when you stir it. The "ball" of powder gets slightly smaller if you keep stirring for a while, however, it never fully disperses. Instead, it spreads out clinging to the side of the glass in a continuous layer of film and forms a thin crystalline-looking web or film that sits on top of the water. I took it for GI support and it did seem to help some. However, I also got this for my dog who is struggling with gerd after ACL surgery and it caused him to be very itchy. It did reduce his reflux, but due to the allergic reaction we will be looking for a naturally sourced glutamine supplement sourced from beets to try that is not synthetically made or sourced from wheat or shellfish as well as made without magnesium stearate. Magnesium stearate is in nearly all powders and tablets bc it's used to prevent the product from sticking up the machinery during manufacturing, making production more efficient (less wasted material). It's a filler/additive that enhances production output but digestively it impedes absorption. Calcium laureate is a healthier alternative I've read, but not as common due to being less efficient production-wise
