I've been using this product for months now while I attempt to get the rest of my weight off of me. I used to be 320 pounds and lost 100 unaided by supplements. I did it all through intensive exercise and a caloric deficit. When I officially hit 100 pounds lost in December of 2021, I decided to grab some creatine to aid in keeping the muscle I already had while I tried to get the rest of the fat off of my body (along with 1 to 1.2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight and keeping my other macros in check). This stuff has been amazing. Not only have I continued to lose weight through my caloric deficit and intensive weightlifting regime, but I have also kept a majority of my muscle and have GAINED a substantial amount of muscle as well! At the time of writing this review (5/19/2022), I have lost over 130 pounds and am sitting right around 188 pounds. This is not a miracle substance. You have to put work in at the gym to see gains and religiously take 5g a day (I just mix it in my pre-workout). I don't believe in a loading phase because of the research that I have followed so I just started taking 5g and have been for 5 months now. This has helped me so much in getting the fat off of my body while cutting, keeping the muscle I already had, and gaining a LOT of new muscle. I am incredibly happy and will continue using this for the foreseeable future. Last little thing, I've been seeing a lot of 1-star reviews for this saying things like "does not dissolve in water" and "like drinking sand". You must understand that Creatine Monohydrate has incredibly poor water solubility and will not dissolve at all in cold water. The only advice I have for you is to man up and just drink it (or woman up! and or non-binary up! You got this!). You WILL see results, but you must take it religiously and you must consistently push yourself in the gym along with keeping your diet in check. Overall, I love this creatine and will be continuing to take it. It's been an amazing help and has boosted my confidence

Hear me out

I can't recommend to anyone that they should buy there creatine off Amazon but instead seek it from a supplement website. However creatine is creatine. There is no better tasting or stronger version. Everyone selling creatine monohydrate is essentially selling the same product. That being said, I tested and this stuff and it is very much the real thing. It is not as fine as other tubs I've bought and therefore it takes a bit to disintegrate in a drink. I use a shaker bottle, with the shaker ball. For me, it takes a couple shakes and there's never any left over at the bottom, like so many people say in reviews. I'd say look for a trust worthy supplement website selling large tubs of this stuff at a good price and get the best value possible. Otherwise this worked for me and I can't knock an effective product

Good quality, but…

The product is of good quality, but I got curious about the amount of servings it states on the label because the product was not lasting as long as I calculated, so I grabbed my 5g serving scoop and started counting. It turns out that the 60 serving container only has 50. That's a minus 10! And the 120 serving container only has 75. That's a minus 45! The product is not cheap to begin with and then when I count the 55g I didn't get, (I bought 2 bottles. The 60 and the 120 servings), it's hard not to feel as if I was cheated. DO BETTER OPTIMUM NUTRITION

A good way to add a few pounds quickly.

At 52 years old I was skeptical that this was going to do much. I've been strength training for the past year and dropped from an obese 240 lbs., to a fit 160 lbs. I wanted to put on some muscle, however at my age it's a struggle so I gave this a try to kick start the process. It added water to my existing muscle, making them appear larger, like I read it would. It's also added volume to my strength training workouts. During the 1.5 weeks since I started using this product I gained a total of 2.5 lbs. I took 20g a day for the first 6 days, then cut down to 5g for daily maintenance. The easiest way to explain the benefit is to say it puts more fuel in the tank, and maximizes your recovery between sets. An example would be: You may have achieved 10 reps during a particular set in the previous week, however, now with creatine, you can perform 12, allowing you to increase weight/volume. As far as the flavoring goes there is no flavor, but it is really gritty and doesn't dissolve in water, a smoothie, or protein shake. I've found the best way to take it is to mix the serving into about a half a cup of water, down it quickly, add a little more water to the cup to pickup the remaining crystals, and then down the remaining water. Adding it to protein shakes etc., only makes the whole shake gritty

Gains baby!

2 month review::: I'm able to workout and increase weights effortlessly. I definitely see a huge difference in my abs, glutes and overall silhouette! Im getting my old feminine body back vs the straight up and down body that I've had since loosing 30 lbs 3 years ago! I workout 4-5 times a week and eat well and drink 2L of water daily. This creatinine keeps my energy up and allows me to go harder during my sessions. People have noticed that my butt is getting bigger and im loving it!!!ðŸ˜ I take this before the gym with a little orange juice. Its tasteless but very gritty. I don't recommend pouring this in a bottle of water because no matter how much you shake it, it will not dissolve. Sometime I just pour a scoop in my mouth and gulp down water after

Surprisingly Effective (and not difficult to swallow)

Usually I don't feel a difference taking supplements (vitamins, pre probiotics, herbal supplements, legal shrooms)... but the effects of these were pretty immediately noticeable. I go to the gym 3x a week and usually destroy my body during those workouts. The energy I have, muscle development and retention I see, and recovery I feel is slight, but definitely there. Obviously sleep and hydration are most important... and everyone will be different (I'm only 5'4 and 130 and perhaps it absorbs and spreads into my muscles more readily and quickly than for someone who's 5'11 and 200, for example)â€"but I do recommend these and don't think it's money going down the drain like it is for some supplements. My husband takes the powdered version but I can't stand that chalky texture

The only thing that works for me.

I tried a couple of other supplements, but none of them worked. I heard about Creatine before and tried for a week and give up because every time I had to dissolve the power which is difficult and tasted like sand. Later I learned from a very famous natural bodybuilder on YouTube that creatine actually works. I decided to give it another try and ordered capsuled ones. With half of bottle consumed in two months according to the instructions on the bottle, now my muscles are building up to an extent I can clearly tell in the mirror that I am transforming. I do not want to use steroids, neither do I have to access to them. I just want a strong and good-looking body that both I and my family can enjoy. If you are just like me, go for it. Exercise every day with different groups of muscles, take the pills after meals, and you will see real results. BTW, I do not believe I have natural good genes for muscle building, and I did something I am really happy about. Hope you can do better. Not going to lie, workout is tiring, but it is worth it

Optimun Nutrition just makes quality supplements

I've used creatine on and off for the last 10 years. I won't get into the science behind it because for your body, YMMV. But it works wonders on my strength, endurance, and physical look. It's truly flavorless so you can add it to anything. I add it to my coffee in the morning. In a pinch, I'll just take a scoop dry and wash it down with water -- though it can leave some powder remnants and you'll need to gargle a bit. I trust the Optimum Nutrition brand. My family has used their protein powder for years and never had problems. 10/10/ recommend

ONLY CREATINE YOU WILL EVER NEED!!!

---Introduction---- I am currently a senior full-time nursing student focusing on gaining strength. I follow a power-lifting style training program and have been working out consistently for the past few years. I'm currently trying to put on some weight. I've posted a couple of reviews to supplementreviews.com so far. I've been taking this product from Optimum Nutrition ever since I first started training and it's the creatine supplement I keep coming back to. ----Ingredient Profile---- 10/10 99.9% pure creatine monohydrate. Plain and simple. In addition, the creatine is both CreaPure sourced and micronized. CreaPure is one of the most trusted, purest, and studied forms of creatine monohydrate. It's also micronized, which helps it dissolve in water more effectively than other forms of monohydrate. ----Taste/Mixability/Dosing---- 8/10 There's little to no taste, being as it's unflavored; however, if you mix it in plain water you can definitely tell something is there. I usually just add it into my post-workout scoop of protein and you can't tell it's there. In plain water, it mixes pretty well (since it's micronized). It doesn't dissolve 100% - however, by nature creatine is very difficult to dissolve completely. Each serving is 5g, which is the evidence-based dose of creatine. The label suggests loading doses when you first start taking it, but I've never loaded and feel as if it's unnecessary. ----Effectiveness---- 8/10 Some people think they will notice enormous strength gains when first taking creatine; however, this is not the case. One needs to consume creatine over a period of time to see maximum benefit of this product. For a product that is scientifically proven to improve performance in the gym, you can't beat that price (especially for creatine of this quality). ----Side Effects---- 7/10 I'm one that typically reacts to creatine monohydrate. When I first start taking it, I am one that typically sees some water retention and bloating. Some people don't respond this way at all - I believe it's dependent on the individual's own body. I will say that I have tried other cheaper forms of creatine monohydrate and have reacted worse. I tend to have less water retention and bloating with Optimum's creatine because it's CreaPure sourced and micronized. ----Conclusion---- 8.5/10 Overall, this is an exceptional product. It's cheap, effective, and most-likely the only creatine supplement you will ever need. You *may* experience some water retention and bloating; however, a lot of people don't experience this so you will just have to try it to see for yourself
