We examined how an herbal cream containing silymarin affects patients with eczema compared to a standard treatment. In a study with 40 patients suffering from mild to moderate eczema, participants used either the herbal cream or mometasone for two weeks.
After this period, we found notable improvements in skin severity scores for both treatments. However, there wasn't a significant difference between the two groups. This suggests that while both treatments are effective, silymarin may not be superior to traditional therapies for eczema relief.
