100 Point Reduction in Triglycerides

I've been fascinated by Amarin Corporation's Reduce-It study...which resulted in a 25% reduction in MACE (major adverse cardiovascular event) events. The multi-year, 8,000 patient study found significant reductions in heart attack, stroke and even death. It's clear to me that having elevated triglycerides is a serious health risk factor. 2.5 years ago, my triglycerides were at 189. Yesterday's follow-up lab report found my triglycerides at 88...a 100 point reduction in my triglycerides. The only change made was the addition of EPA taken over the past 8 months. I take 2 grams daily. Since my (retired) military healthcare system is not up to speed regarding Vascepa and its benefits...I had to go it alone and found this product. Strongly recommended

Ineffective product for influencing Omega-3 Index.

UPDATED REVIEW 9/14/17 The tests that I ordered to verify this product's effectiveness did not give me the whole picture in terms of my omega fatty acids. After contacting the company I found out that they also in addition to my Omega Index had the results of my Omega6:Omega3 ratio and AA:EPA ratio as well. It turns out that the RESTORE product although it did not improve my Omega Index, it improved both my 6:3 and AA:EPA ratios. From May to September I went from Omega6/3 ratio of 5.6:1 and AA:EPA ratio of 6.8:1. This is great as these are risk factors for disease. Since this product is effective I'm now changing my review to 5 stars. The capsule are easy, small, and have no fishy aftertaste. I ADVISE ALL PURCHASERS TO MAKE SURE THEY GET A MORE COMPREHENSIVE BLOOD TEST OF THEIR OMEGA PROFILE THAT INCLUDES THE OMEGA 6:3 RATIO AS WELL AS THE AA:EPA RATIO. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This product was ineffective for me in influencing my Omega-3 Index. I collected a blood test to measure my index on 5/15/17, supplemented for 3 months with this product, and then took another test on 9/1/17. My Omega-3 Index went from 7.95% to 7.94%. I would not recommend this product. I wish I could have a refund of this product

Best In Class and better than the prescription drug Vascepa or Lovaza

Best in class basically all the positions on glycerol are esterified with EPA. I believe this product will outperform the prescription drug Vascepa that is the ethyl esters of EPA in which you need to take 4 capsules and the absorption is not at its maximum. Pharmacokinetic data with Vascepa showed poor absorption under low fat meals in which you are supposed to eat to be healthy. Before, Nordic Naturals Elite EPA was the gold standard but they stopped making their product for whatever reason.

This stuff is the bomb!

I doctor prescribed Vascepa epa fish oil. That was going to cost $300. Researched on Amazon and decided on this brand, by Igennus, Pharmepa Restore. Took it fr two weeks before lab. Nurse just called and said my cholesterol/triglycerides are Normal! I am impressed! Highly recommend

Great product, just watch out for orange capsules

I've bought a ton of these and, functionally, they have worked well. I can't speak to the medicinal properties, though; I take them for severe depression along with about five other things both OTC and prescription, so I can't say if these do anything. But my doc recommended it and they don't appear to have any negative impact, so I'll keep taking them. That said, I do want to warn of one thing, not to discourage but to simply inform: I received one box that had a single capsule that either didn't get manufactured properly, or "popped" at some point. The result was a slightly smaller, far darker yellow (almost orange) capsule with a slimy coating and the most /horrific/ smell that has ever wafted past my nose. Think "decayed fish", but after a year and then the smell was preserved in a blister pack. If you buy these, make sure to check your blister packs before opening them. If you see one of these, THROW THAT BLISTER PACK AWAY. You can risk opening the okay capsules to use them if you like, but do not under any circumstances open the foul one (if you're a morbidly curious type, please do so outside). **This is a single capsule out of 700 capsules I have ordered in total so far, and does not in any way decrease my interest in nor satisfaction with this product, but the smell was just so terribly awful that I wanted to save others from having to deal with it.*

I highly recommend this product

I began taking this product because I wanted a pure EPA fish oil supplement to lower my triglycerides without negatively affecting my LDL cholesterol. I also was curious to see if it would help my ongoing battle with periodic depression. I can honestly say this product has given me the results I wanted. My LDL has reduced by 10% and my triglycerides have reduced by 30% in only 2 months of treatment. I also feel this product has had positive affects on my mood as well. I highly recommend this product. What got me interested in pure EPA was researching one of the newest prescription fish oils that goes by the trade name Vascepa

Lower My Triglyceride Profile, Update (July 2019)

Lowered my triglyceride level from 253 to 150 in six months, taken twice daily. Sometimes I get a fishy oil in my mouth (not as bad as other brands), but if I take it before a meal with lots of water it is not a problem. The quality of packaging and information is superb. It is more like a pharmaceutical vs a supplement. ***** Update ***** Got a comprehensive blood panel done which included omega3-6 screening. My EPA levels were quite low, and the Dr was surprised that I took supplements daily for the past 8 months. I'm going to be trying a different brand as I am unsure of the quality here

Wow ! Highly recommend

I have been taking this for about two months. I was prescribed Vasepa but insurance wouldn't pay and it wad $268. I read the reviews online and figured it was worth a try. I got my blood results today. My HDL went up from 47 to 64, cholesterol went down from 262 to 233. Triglycerides from 535 to 186. My LDL has been unreadable but now can be read. My numbers are still high but the results are amazing

Misleading ad. Pills are only 500mg each

Only 500mg per pill not 1000mg as shown on box . Thus they are among most expensive epa otc brands costing $1.00 per 1000mg. GNC brand is 52 cents for 1000mg on sale (70 cents reg price), Pure Essentials brand on Amazon is 34 cents per 1000mg

Great Product

Going through an insurance change and had a lapse in coverage and was unable to afford vascepa. After intensive research, I chose this product as a replacement and I am really glad I did. It works and if you don't have insurance to buy Vascepa, this is a great replacement product. I have familial hyper-triglyceridemia and without medications, my triglycerides will sometimes run close to 900. This product keeps them around the 200 level which is wonderful for me
