One of the Good Ones
I have been taking these for 5 years. My dry type macular degeneration has stayed exactly the same, which was the intended purpose. I am almost 76 years old. I guess you would call this a maintenance vitamin. My wife, on the other hand, takes Eye Promise vitamins and that has worked for her. I guess a person should go with works for them, and what their own doctor recommends. (Obviously my wife and I see different doctors). But this is a good product and it has been clinically validated as being effective. There is no "maybe" about it being beneficial. I do not know if this relevant, but not only has my macular degeneration not gotten any worse, but my eyeglass prescription has not changed in 5 years. I still get by with 2.50 readers. I will keep buying until my (major university) doctor says otherwise. A final note, these vitamins also contain the amount of zinc and copper usually recommended to head off colds and viruses. I guess that fact could be viewed as a free bonus since many people routinely buy and pay for zinc and copper as a separate vitamin
