Top Medical Research Studies

We assessed the effects of spirulina and pentoxyfilline on patients with oral submucous fibrosis, a precancerous condition affecting the mouth. Our study involved 40 patients, randomly assigned to receive either pentoxyfilline or spirulina for three months.

Both treatments led to improvements in mouth opening, burning sensation, and tongue protrusion. However, spirulina notably reduced burning sensation without any side effects, unlike pentoxyfilline, which caused nausea and other issues. We found spirulina to be a promising treatment option in managing this condition.

I take spirulina on an empty stomach, mixed in warm water, not combined with anything. It has a faint algae smell and tastes normal, not causing any nausea. I feel more energetic and robust during this time. I plan to continue taking it.

This made me feel unwell, really unwell with gas, nausea and a headache... I absolutely dislike it.

Relieved nausea
With excellent composition, fast delivery and convenient packaging, I found no damage. Although the capsules are slightly large, swallowing is easy. I take it daily with meals, along with vitamin D3+K2, magnesium and vitamin B6. I’ve started noticing benefits; my frequent headaches and nausea have stopped, and I feel more energetic and in a great mood throughout the day. I highly recommend it for those into sports, fitness or any diet.

Stomach distress

After taking chlorella for over a year and learning about spirulina, I decided to combine the two. I initially took the same amount as chlorella, which was a mistake! Spirulina is much stronger, and I experienced stomach distress and nausea. I reduced my intake immediately and have since learnt about this issue. Things are settling down now, and I look forward to a healthy future with iHerb and Nutrex.

Nausea from taste
Spirulina is a remarkable product; it's no wonder people seek these algae for health benefits! My family uses it, and it's beneficial for the body. However, the taste and smell are quite nauseating, which is why I mix it with sweet juice. While not perfect, it has its advantages.
