great fiber supplement, fast working, and easy to take (pros and cons list)

Pros: easy to take, no flavor (the best taste for a medicine is no taste at all), good quantity, no guessing with amounts (3 with breakfast, 3 with lunch, 3 with dinner, and 3 right before bed so its easier to do business in the morning), overdosing on this is an active effort (explained later) Cons: works deceptively fast (ill explain that in a moment), slight smell in the bottle Deceptively fast: before i took these, the old squat 'n grunt was more like a squat and power scream. i took my first dose of this, and went to the bathroom a few hours later. i was all ready to put forth my usual herculean effort, but at the first push it shot out of me so hard and fast that i practically shot off the toilet and into the neighboring state. Be careful when taking these, until you get used to them. you might think it's the passing of gas, but its actually about to be an unwelcome visitor. hard to overdose: the more you take, the "easier" it is to do #2, and you may think that taking more would make it go easier (i thought that...), turns out that once you start taking too much, it DOES get easier to #2, but not in the good way. it goes from feculent bullets fired from the rear canon to sludge from the pip

Great Value

Best thing about this product is the price. Psyllium is basically the same once it is in capsule form. Capsules are standard size for 500mg, none have broken open and they are fairly solid, they don't easily break apart. No off flavors or issues once taken, no GI discomfort etc. Overall, a great value if you are looking for bulk psyllium capsules

Two a day and I run like clockwork

My doctor recommended that I start taking a laxative to improve my body's material handling system. I didn't want to take the product he recommended, because it was composed of some chemical. I tried good old prunes, but even though I actually like prunes, you have to eat a LOT of prunes allll the time to keep things moving that way. I stopped eating my prunes so often, and started having material handling issues again, so then I tried Metamucil. I liked the functionality of the product, but despised the taste, so I decided to start mixing raw psyllium husk powder with different liquids. I don't care what you put that stuff in, it tastes like whatever mixed with something that has a flavor profile akin to mud. Yuck! I finally found happiness after I tried this product. I down them with my bedtime pills, don't notice the taste at all, and they do their job. My system handles its material like clockwork first thing in the morning, I use 80% less toilet paper, and all my other issues are solved. After some trial and error, I settled on two capsules per day as the perfect dose for me, so this bottle will last for a nice long time. I really like this product

This brand works for my system

I had been using another brand for quite a while and was never really sure that I was getting the intended results (just seemed random). I decided to try Puritan's Pride because it was less expensive than what I had been using, and it had good reviews. I'm super pleased with the effectiveness of these capsules and will stick with this brand. Note: be warned, they do work so well that if you forget that you've already taken the daily dose and double-dose yourself, you may find yourself dehydrated and nauseous the next day. Fortunately, lots of water and Gatorade fixed me right up, and I've learned to pay attention to the dosage

This was excellent: price, flavor, effectiveness. I've been using it for weeks and it's perfect. Also, love that it's made in USA. Trustworthy!

First dose works…fast!

I was between supplies for a couple days, and I popped my normal 2 pills when I got my delivery. Good thing I didn't go out cause this stuff was workin' within an hour or 2. I don't notice any bad taste or upset stomach. One may want to experiment taking either 1 or 2 capsules for effectiveness. 2 daily for me works just fine. This is good for the price

U have to take so many for effectiveness

I didn't like having to take so many pills to be effective. Even then, they were not as good as Sam's brand Member's Mark

Great product for the price

I use psyllium fiber faithfully everyday. I started using a different brand I ordered through Amazon and for some reason started having problems i.e.: bloating and other issues. Decided to try Puritan Pride since they have a pretty good reputation. Instantly noticed a difference with the first dosage. I'm definitely going to stick with this brand from now on

Get regular

I got two. Very large bottles but the capsules, clear, are very easy to swallow and for adults the dosage is 6 per day, three per application with a 8 ounce glass of water or juice
