Disappointed in the brand

I did so much research on vitamins to take before, during, and after my pregnancy. I came to trust the Rainbow Light brand. I'm deeply disappointed in the recent discovery that they were false advertising their prenatal and postnatal to say that they are “free of heavy metals”. I understand that heavy metals are in almost everything we eat, drink, and take. But if Rainbow Bright fibbed about the heavy metals can any of their ingredients be trusted? You think you are doing the right thing by researching, and feel good about spending a lot of money on a product because you think it's high quality. In the future I will only purchase products that are tested by parties not associated with the brand

Lingering taste

Hard to know how effective the vitamin itself is, but I have a few reasons for 3 stars: 1. I found the language on the packaging a bit confusing 2. I find that I can taste these on and off for about an hour after I swallow them 3. The cost is high, especially since I didn't realize the dose was two capsules until I received the

Awesome product

Loved the prenatals while I was pregnant, the post natals work AMAZING for breastfeeding mom's as they have fenugreek and flax seed in them. I will tell you, if you already have high milk production this will temporarily cause engorgement and you may need to pump to take the extra pressure off for the baby, some days I only take 1 other days I take one in the AM and one at noon... Synthetic Folate AKA Folic Acid and only 600 Folic Acid

Updating this review, since after carefully looking at the TINY nutritional chart on the bottle, these Prenatals only have 600 folic acid as opposed to the advertised 800 - that's just FOUL. Especially since they intentionally advertised them as 800 knowing that's the standard recommendation. So I used these before and through my entire pregnancy. I felt good about them and my son is now 18 months old. We are TTC again and due to being 43 I'm wanting certain types of supplements this time around (although I was still 41 when I last became pregnant). However, now that I'm looking more into it, these feel slightly misleading. They claim to be all natural, food-plant based. Yet folic acid is synthetic. Wish I'd realized that before purchasing them this time around. Weird that you'd make an “all natural”, “food-based” prenatal and use Folic Acid instead of food derivative Folate. So if there are other women out there in my boat that are TTC you may want to beware of this. As synthetic folic acid isn't nearly as absorbable and if you are my age that can be really important. Otherwise, they don't constipate me, don't make me nauseous, and I like that they are one a day

Horrible!

Oh god, these are terrible! Awful smell and taste, and as soon as you put them in your mouth, you can smell it and taste it straight away. May as well be taking the powder by itself... then after the gruesome experience of swallowing 2 of them, you can still taste them, when you burp, it is even worse. I ve tried taking it before a proper meal, and still the same. I cringed with the thought of taking it the next day. It does not feel like it is being digested well. I will be returning this

Not for sensitive stomachs

I have a very sensitive stomach and have never been able to take vitamins even though I've tried countless. I loved rainbow light complete prenatal system but they got rid of it so I started taking the prenatal one( still really liked it and had no tummy issues). After having my son I switched to this postnatal option thinking I wouldn't have any issues but everyday it would make my stomach turn no matter how late I ate it and how full my stomach was. I quickly switched back to the prenatal one for my postnatal vitamin ( and comparing the bottles there is MINIMAL difference in the two)

Amazing product

These vitamins are amazing, they not only have helped me increase milk supply, but also made my milk creamier. I have also noticed my 2 month old isn't as fussy and gassy as he used to be; this might not have anything to do with the pills and his GI track has just gotten a bit more mature. But there's no way to tell if the vitamins helped in this, so I thought it might be worth to mention. Yes, they do have a funky taste and will make your pee a neon yellow, but they are VITAMINS after all and we'll worth the money for me since they have really done what they said they would. Everybody is different and what works for some women might not work for others. before these I was taking the New Chapter Postnatal vitamins which are also supposed to help with milk supply; but they didn't really help me at all, even though they had amazing reviews. In conclusion, I love these vitamins

The product that arrived is NOT the product pictured and described!

These vitamins are NOT "Rainbow Light 35 Mom and Baby" vitamins, as written in the description and as pictured! They are "Rainbow Light 35 Embrace" vitamins, I believe it's basically Rainbow Light's previous formula of a prenatal vitamin especially for moms aged 35 . They are a 3-a-day vitamin, not a 1-a-day, as written. Basically, the product that arrived is not the product listed for sale and pictured. It's literally a different product
