It is working for me.

I ordered this product after extensive research on how I could lose weight. I am 55 and have been having problems loosing weight over the past 4 years. I am not that heavy (5'6" and 170 lbs) but I felt this was way to much weight to stay healthy and I did not like what I saw in the mirror. I have tried HCG injectable (worked but very expensive so I stopped), exercise (which has been on and off because of knee and leg issues, reduced calories (around 1000 per day) and I was not loosing weight. I could eat 3000 calories per day or 500 calories per day and it did not seem to make any difference. In the article I read in "First For Women" - Turbocharge your liver (please read this article so you can make your own decision) it stated that there was a prescription Probiotic that was working for women and that I could use two over the counter probiotics that would mimic that affect. This brand and RenewLife Ultimate Flora. I have been using these for 4 weeks and have lost 7 pounds. Does not sound like much but when I could not even lose a pound I am very happy. I have to take the RenewLife at night (due to bowel issue) and only take one. I take the LifeExtension twice daily. Hope this helps someone els

Helped mood swings (!!). You may need to adjust how much you take.

I have been taking Ultimate Flora 15 billion for quite a while now (2-3 years?). The most interesting effect it had on me--and why I will continue to take it--is smoothing out my mood swings, believe it or not. For years I had a cycle roughly 5 weeks between lows, then a day or two of a very high mood, then a crash. I saw a program on PBS about probiotics and how they supposedly help the immune system and other things, and I thought I'd try it (this product was specifically shown on the show). I went along my usual schedule and was waiting for the high mood and then the crash, but they never came. The cycle I had been experiencing just about vanished, and things are more even. Did the probiotics help? I cannot say for sure, but given the benefits of probiotics described on the PBS show, it wouldn't shock me if there's a connection. I just didn't expect it. I'm not complaining. :-) The person on the PBS show explained that you should get a probiotic with as many strains as you can. If the probiotic you are taking has 2 or 3 strains, that's not enough. Get 10 or more strains. The Renew Life product meets this qualification. Note that the "15 billion" is guaranteed at the expiration date. Caution: I have noticed that taking too much of this can cause annoyances along the digestive tract (I'll spare you the details). My local store was out of the 15 billion, and I purchased a bottle of the higher amount, and that was way too much for me. Even taking the 15 billion every day is a bit much now. I'm down to a capsule about every other day or two of the 15 billion, probably because I've been taking this for such a long time that I've got enough happy buggies in my belly doing their job and they don't need too much help anymore

C diff cure

Had c-diff infection from antibiotics. This rectified the extreme discomfort within a week. Nothing else did the job like this, including a round of metronidazole

This has helped me with my asthma – incredible

It seems crazy, for sure. I've been taking this for about 2 weeks now, and my asthma has dropped to where I'm only needing my inhaler maybe once a day. I can't wait to see what will happen in the next month or so, hoping that it may disappear entirely at some point. My energy has also increased. Very, very happy camper right here

WONDERFUL product, wish I had used it years ago!

WOW, wish I had found this sooner- gas, bloating, pain, ALL GONE within 4 days of using this product. I am thrilled and feel so much better!! I am using it every other day and that seems to be fine. Now that I've been on it for a month I'll back that up to every 3 days to maintain things as they are. If you have IBS give this a try, honestly I feel like a moron for not doing it sooner. I've suffered for years and the gas was so bad I didn't even want to go out with friends. That's completely gone now on the same diet. THANK YOU!

FABULOUS PRODUCT

I suffer from IBS and have tried every expensive probiotic on the market, including Prescript Assist and VSL #3 Medical Food. For IBS-D (diarrhea) this by far excels! After a few weeks, I have been able to drop down to every other day (saving money) and it is still just as effective. You have to find what works for you. Prescript Assist worked better than the VSL, but this product is better than both for me

Great for SIBO

Worked well for my SIBO. With SIBO there is already an excess of bacteria, so the usual multi strain probiotics actually makes me feel much worse. This is a yeast that works not by adding bacteria, but by crowding out the bad bacteria. Had some mild intestinal cramping with the first dose, but after that my gut has been slowly but surely healing and the bad bacteria is disappearing. No more signs of intestinal fermentation. For some reason I ended up buying Florastor after finishing this. Maybe the cost and quantity

Good option for leaky gut.

These are great for people who have issues with gluten, leaky gut, and yeast in the bloodstream. My doctor recommended them for me. The only thing is that I feel like you need to continue taking them all the time which is getting expensive because they are more expensive than some other probiotics. Also there is only 20 of them in each package, so they don't even last a month

Helped with my painful digestion

I am a vegetarian, so I don't eat meat (which can create digestion problems) and I rarely eat milk or cheese (which can also cause problems). But I noticed a few months ago that I was having painful cramping at night. It was my body digesting food, but it felt like razor blades going though my guts. I would also, on occasion, have painful bloating and gas. I was about to simply get used to it, but it hit me that most people don't have this problem and that I hadn't always experienced it either. I looked into it and found that some foods are harder for the body to digest, but stress can also be an issue. I eat pretty well and exercise, do yoga, and meditate, so I decided to take a probiotic. I took Nature Made at first, which was good, but this product replicates the bacteria in your system already. Plus it helps to create more bacteria for you. This helps so that if you miss a day your body won't revert to bad digestion. With the other brands, you have to take it every day. I also appreciate the vegetable capsule. So many of the other quality probiotics use gel caps, which I don't use since they are made from animal products. Another reviewer wondered about the storing of this product. I talked to a person at Sprouts, the grocery store where I bought this, and she told me that the door of my fridge was best. I've been doing that and have had no problems. I'd recommend this for people who have problems with digestion--pain, gas, bloating, etc. I don't have those problems now. And the price here on Amazon is great

Works in an emergency for diarrhea (for my cat) — WITHOUT FILLERS!!! <3

In case you were unaware, Renew Life has done the wonderful (though sadly all-too-rare) thing of making a product without magnesium stearate or ascorbyl palmitate. Or anything else that is bothersome for a filler. Both those two fillers I just mentioned are problematic for cats....and when your cat is pooping and pooping, and it's becoming a pure liquid....you have very few choices if you cannot get to the vet. So keeping this on-hand in your First Aid kit for your favorite feline is important. I did keep this on-hand for her, and recently I believe it stopped the potentially life-threatening diarrhea we were headed towards and saved her little furry life. Thank God for Renew Life. I wish they had MORE single-strain probiotics for sale without fillers like this one, as I use probiotics not only in emergencies but also in my personal life. But for the sake of this review, I'll just state this: this product lives up to the hype. It's wonderful, and I am grateful to God that they make this product. It's a MUST-HAVE in any pet lover's emergency first aid kit in their home. Truly. Any supplement that has ascorbyl palmitate, carrageenan, xanthan gum, guar gum, gellan gum, or magnesium stearate is not suitable for a cat (or a dog, or a rabbit, or any little furry creature, for that matter). Renew life is one of the few companies that has multiple products without these items in them. Thank God for Renew Life
