Works for me!

I have to eat a high salt diet due to POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and low blood volume, and instead of ruining my palate by dousing my food in salt, I grabbed these tablets. They're just what they say they are - sodium chloride compacted into a tablet, no more, no less, which in my book is great because I don't need the potassium or other vitamins/minerals some companies mix with the SC. There is no coating, but these don't hurt my stomach, and I have a pretty sensitive stomach. They also seem to dissolve fairly quickly; before if I was getting close to a fainting spell I literally had to chug salt mixed with water or juice, but now I can take a tablet and a) the salt doesn't burn my mouth, and b) I start feeling better before long. I'll keep reordering

If you have POTS, this really works!

If you have POTS, this is a life saver. My daughter was diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) back in February and none of the medication they put her on seemed to work. Through reading lots of blogs about POTS, I found that salt tablets really do seem to work so we gave it a try. My daughter takes one in the am and one in the pm. Doctor says its like taking a teaspoon of salt for each pill. Pharmacies and grocery stores do not carry these. Glad to find it on line at Amazon.co

It's salt! Believe it or not, hard item to find

I was recently diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Hypotension Syndrome and instructed to take in 3grams of salt a day. Sounds easy? It's not. At first eating salty foods is fun- lots of chips, fries, etc. Then you tire of every food item tasting salty. Then I heard about salt tablets. I couldn't get enough salt in my diet so I decided to supplement. I thought they'd be easy to find. Couldn't find them in any pharmacy or grocery store. And Amazon was one of the select few I found and the only one I trusted. It's a salt tablet- nothing exciting. But it works. I feel so much better

Works great for lymes disease

This stuff is great for lymes disease, it has done more to cure me than any of the antibiotics I was on ( doxycycline, amoxicillin, ceftin, etc). Check out this remedy online for more information, but it does work and it most certainly has made a difference for me. The remedy is known as "Salt Vitamin C". Hopefully this helps somebody on need

A great source of Sodium!

I have a condition called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome or POTS. I need to supplement my intake of sodium to keep from becoming dehydrated. I'm taking one in the am and one in the pm now and will increase to one in the afternoon soon. These tablets are helping me keep water in my system and blood stream and my symptoms of vertigo and fainting has nearly stopped. I'm glad that I thought to try this and I've had no side effects at all

Sodium Chloride is actual Sodium

These are medium, unbuffered tablets that taste like a tablet of pure table salt. Taking one of these is like taking two Saltsticks. I learned after ordering that 1 gram of Sodium Chloride is equal to only approximately 400 mgs of true sodium, or about 18% of your Daily Value. On the plus side, unlike Saltsticks this product is only Sodium Chloride, as where Saltsticks contain many electrolytes. Both products worked for me, my Cancer/Chemo was sucking my sodium levels down, so I used both to get my levels back up (you'd figure the doctors would be able to prescribe something) and it worked. Though now I have resigned myself to using just Saltsticks to keep my Sodium level up. If you want to use food to raise your level, the old school soups and stews have 30-40% of your Daily Allowance

Works great for people with POTS

My daughter was diagnosed with POTS about a year ago and told to increase her daily intake of sodium. We spent a couple months trying to accomplish this through diet alone, but found it to be impossible. Sodium tablets were suggested and I found these. What a life saver!! She dissolves the tablets in a bottle of Powerade or a glass of V8 Fusion juice and drinks. Her sodium level is increased as needed, her fluid intake is increased as needed, and my stress level is decreased as needed. We will continue to order this product as long as she needs

Mmmmm salty

I have never been one of those people that needs a lot of salt on my food. I don't avoid salt particularly, but when I switched to a restrictive diet due to food sensitivities, I quit eating out, and started eating either home-made or organic foods, which have much less sodium in them than their traditional counterparts. As a result, I found myself eating about 50% of the daily recommended value of sodium a day . Which was ok (but not great) as long as I didn't exercise or drink too much water. Once I started to drink water regularly (about 2 cups a day as opposed to none before) I began getting water poisoning (the early stages, where I felt queasy). Once I figured out that I needed to eat more sodium, I had to eat little salt packets whenever I exerted myself (neither dignified nor delicious). It took me 3 months to finally realize that I wasn't going to find any pills anywhere else, so I purchased these. They are exactly what they say they are, Salt (NACL) and nothing else. each pill is about 16% of your daily recommended value of sodium in the US (2300mg) so you can use these to sumplement your diet without worying about getting too much. They are also really easy to swallow, but when I am feeling queasy (from low sodium) these upset my stomach a little more. So I either suck on them, or eat a little salt first. If you have problems keeping most pills down, you might consider some buffered pills. Personally, I wanted to have salt without any additives because I tend to be sensitive to pretty benign things. All in all, exactlly what I was looking for

Great Sodium Chloride

I always get this brand. I think they work good because I have trouble with Low Sodium. So bad that I was put in the hospital once for it being too low. I did not know it was an electrolyte either. If your Sodium level gets too low, mine was at 25, you get very confused and forgetful and you can go into convulsions, coma, and eventually death. before I found out what the problem was I was actually scared I had Early Alzheimers' Onset. Then when a Dr. did a blood test he called me and told me to go right now to the ER because my Sodium was way too low. Every day when I got up I had no idea what day of the week it was or if it was a weekday or weekend. I'd always have to check my iPhone to know the day of the week. Once I was driving and I got so confused; I did not know where I was, where I was going or where I had come from. This was scary and thank God it lasted for only about 5 mins. I was confused about everything. My husband would tell me the insurance man was coming over in the aft and I'd forget it when he got here. This happened for a lot of things. I can't tell you how happy I was when I found out it was because of low sodium. As soon as the sodium went up all those symptoms left. The Dr. told me to drink only 1.5 ltr. a day. For me, that seemed impossible but I did follow directions. But after a while, you tend to forget and go right back to where you once were. As soon as I'd notice the forgetfulness I'd realize how much I had been drinking. So that is when I began buying these tablets and they help. The forgetfulness and confusion would all clear up. But I was afraid of taking too much. Especially now. I have low stage high blood pressure and am on med. for it. I still use the salt tablets but I am careful. I also take Thermotabs Electrolytes which I get at Amazon also. I want the sodium and potassium. Without these tabs I have Charlie Horses in my legs through the night. They are really painful. With these tabs I don't have them. I take 2 in the morning and that's all. I noticed I was confused again about the day of the week so now I take a salt tablet also but I'm going to try every other day with them. My confusion is gone now. Who knew the importance of salt. I sure didn't. I read an article where your heart needs so much salt also. Everything in our body does in order to function. That was long but I wanted you to know how I know they are working in me and helping me. Both items
