Biotin effectively improves rash symptoms
We explored the effects of biotin therapy on a neonate suffering from a rare metabolic disorder known as holocarboxylase synthetase deficiency. After initiating a biotin mega-dose regimen, we observed impressive results, with the baby showing notable clinical improvement just one day later.

Within six days, mechanical ventilation was no longer necessary, and the child maintained stable health through follow-ups. This case underscores the importance of early genetic testing and how effective biotin can be in treating specific metabolic issues.

Biotin treatment showed significant effect
We examined a patient diagnosed with holocarboxylase synthetase (HCS) deficiency, who presented with a notable rash and other severe symptoms. This condition disrupts biotin's incorporation into enzymes, leading to serious health challenges.

After starting biotin treatment, we observed remarkable improvement in the patient’s condition, including normal growth and development over three years. This case highlights the importance of prompt diagnosis and treatment to avoid serious complications associated with biotin deficiency.

Biotin treatment mitigates rash symptoms
This study looked at children with partial biotinidase deficiency to understand its effects and inheritance. While many were healthy at diagnosis, we found that one child developed skin rash, hair loss, and muscle weakness—symptoms that improved following biotin treatment.

Notably, other family members also displayed partial deficiency without symptoms, but one adult had minor issues that were alleviated with biotin. Overall, while most individuals are symptom-free at birth, this research suggests that biotin therapy could be beneficial for preventing future complications.

Cleared rashes
These vitamins are my favourite. After childbirth, my hair began to fall out, but upon starting these vitamins, everything appeared to restore itself; my skin is clearer, and the rashes have vanished. I cannot comment on nail growth, as I’ve had no issues in that area.

Stopped rashes
These vitamins greatly benefit the skin of my face and scalp, as well as my nervous system. They help combat hair loss, especially if it's due to a lack of biotin. With regular use, I have noticed less hair loss and my nails are stronger. I have not experienced any side effects or unpleasant aftertaste. Although we might not require additional biotin if our diet is sufficient, I found that Solgar Biotin works effectively. The hair loss has decreased to a normal level, the nails have returned to health, and rashes on my face are less frequent.

Biotin treatment aids HLCS deficiency
We reviewed the clinical and biochemical characteristics of 28 Chinese patients with holocarboxylase synthetase (HLCS) deficiency. Through this retrospective analysis, we observed that most patients exhibited symptoms like rash, seizures, and vomiting. However, after timely biotin supplementation, almost all showed remarkable improvement in their symptoms and overall health.

This suggests that biotin therapy plays a vital role in managing HLCS deficiency, leading to low mortality rates and encouraging long-term outcomes. Early diagnosis through newborn screening is highlighted as essential for effective treatment.

Biotin effectively treats skin rash
We explored a fascinating case involving a 6-year-old Vietnamese boy diagnosed with holocarboxylase synthetase deficiency, which is linked to biotin metabolism issues. The boy had a significant skin rash and metabolic acidosis, raising suspicion of multiple carboxylase deficiency. After confirming the diagnosis through urine and genetic tests, he began treatment with biotin.

Remarkably, he experienced a dramatic improvement in his condition within just days of starting the treatment. This strongly suggests that biotin can effectively address symptoms related to this deficiency, including skin rashes.

Biotin treatment resolved skin rash
We explored a case involving a 2-month-old boy who presented with severe symptoms, including seizures and rash, and was quickly suspected of having biotinidase deficiency. After starting him on biotin supplements, we observed remarkable improvement within just 48 hours. His skin conditions, including perioral and perianal rashes, as well as overall health, significantly improved after regular biotin intake. At 10 months, the child is thriving and seizure-free, showcasing how effective timely biotin treatment can be in alleviating symptoms and resolving rash in such cases.

Work it seems I have been taking for about a month. My hair grows rapidly everywhere except on my head, where only a few new strands have emerged. Having previously suffered from toenail problems, yellowing and cracking post-fungus, my nails are now healthy. The nails on my hands are strong but have not improved much in growth. My facial rashes occur less frequently, and the acne on my back and chest has disappeared.

Increased rashes
I purchased this product at my doctor's suggestion, but it did not agree with me. After using it, I developed rashes on my skin, prompting my doctor to advise me to stop and later resume at a significantly reduced dosage. Caution is essential with high dosages of biotin; always consult with a physician to avoid unwanted side effects.

Consistent rashes
I've been taking one a day for 1.5 weeks with magnesium and a B-complex to enhance my hair, skin, and nervous system. However, I now have constant rashes, which is contrary to what I expected. Previously, I took Indian biotin with good results. I suspect the B-complex might be causing the rash. I plan to either reduce the dosage or discontinue the B-complex altogether. It's imperative to learn from others' mistakes and consult a doctor first.

We evaluated two premature twin infants who experienced serious health issues due to riboflavin and biotin deficiencies. They presented with skin rash and other severe complications while receiving prolonged parenteral nutrition.

After starting biotin and riboflavin supplementation, the surviving twin showed significant improvement within a few days. Remarkably, the rash and other clinical signs improved, allowing him to be discharged in stable condition.

This case highlights the positive impact of biotin on rash resolution in the context of vitamin deficiencies.

Biotin treatment shows effectiveness
We examined a rare case of a 3-year-old boy who faced severe respiratory distress and a persistent rash due to biotinidase deficiency. Initially, the symptoms were typical but progressed to include restlessness and mental decline over two years. After a detailed examination, we diagnosed him with this uncommon condition and began treatment with supplemental biotin. Remarkably, he responded well to the treatment, highlighting biotin's role in addressing the rash and other symptoms associated with this metabolic disorder.

Biotin shows promise for rash
We explored the effects of biotin on skin rashes in patients receiving gefitinib or erlotinib, two drugs used for lung cancer treatment. In a study involving four patients who couldn't find relief with steroid ointments, we found that biotin significantly reduced their rashes. Remarkably, two of these patients were even able to continue their cancer treatment while using biotin.

Although our findings are encouraging, we recognize that more extensive trials are necessary to fully validate the effectiveness of biotin for this purpose.

Biotin shows variable rash improvement
We investigated the effects of biotin therapy on patients suffering from a rare condition affecting holocarboxylase formation. Among the five patients, four showed a significant improvement in their rashes with doses ranging from 10 to 20 mg daily.

However, one patient required a much higher dose of 100 mg daily for her skin rash to improve. While biotin was effective in alleviating some symptoms, it did not completely resolve all clinical issues for everyone involved in the study. We concluded that biotin can help with rashes in certain cases, but the benefits vary greatly among individuals.

Biotin improves rash and seizures
We explored the effects of biotin treatment on a young boy diagnosed with biotinidase deficiency, which presented with neurological issues and a skin rash. Upon administration of 20 mg of biotin daily, we observed a significant and rapid improvement in both his clinical condition and biochemical markers, leading to the cessation of antiseizure medications. Importantly, despite the presence of a rash, biotin showed clear efficacy in improving the patient's overall health without developmental delays by 18 months.
