Like all Solgar products, this iron-free multi-vitamin is top quality. The tablet is large, but no larger than any other tablets or capsules that Solgar makes. That said, I will say that I have a lot of trouble swallowing pills, but the enteric coating on the Solgar products makes it so much easier to swallow than the cheaper brands of vitamins. I chose an iron free formula because my doctor has me on iron supplements already, due to anemia, and at age 70, one must be careful not to take too much iron. She looked these over, though she needn't have, and said they were more than just adequate. From my long "dance" with vitamin and mineral deficiencies, I know that Solgar brands are truly the best. They are gluten free, wheat free, yeast and sugar free as well as dairy free. Also, important to me, they are kosher which means that I am getting a product of very high quality that does not tolerate the "filth" content that the USDA tolerates because of the kosher rules (kashrut). They come in a glass container as do all Solgar products, so I know there is nothing plastic leeching into the vitamins. I wouldn't take anything else but Solgar for all these reasons. When I was in the hospital, the pharmacists had to okay some of the supplements I was taking by doing a qualitative and quantitative analysis on them; they said these were "designer" supplements of the highest quality, and approved them for me to take while in the hospital.
