We investigated how magnesium deficiency affects rash in hairless rats, which develop a severe, itchy rash resembling atopic dermatitis. In our study, we tested a derivative called SDZ ASM 981, given either systemically or topically. Remarkably, oral treatment with SDZ ASM 981 significantly cleared the rash within just one day.

Magnesium cream aids diaper rash
We investigated how a cream containing 2% magnesium affects diaper dermatitis in young children. In this clinical trial, 64 kids under two years old were divided into two groups: one used the magnesium cream combined with Calendula, while the other applied just the Calendula cream.
After comparing recovery times between both groups, we found that magnesium cream significantly helped in treating diaper rash. This suggests that magnesium can be an effective option for soothing diaper rashes and may also benefit other types of dermatitis.
