We examined the impact of vitamin A deficiency (VAD) on the progression of lupus nephritis in a mouse model. By inducing VAD during pregnancy or after weaning, we discovered that both methods significantly worsened the condition, leading to higher mortality rates.
Interestingly, restoring vitamin A levels after weaning reduced mortality. This suggests that VAD accelerates lupus nephritis through increased immune cell activation and autoantibody production. However, effects were less pronounced when VAD was introduced post-weaning. Overall, the study highlights the potential dangers of vitamin A deficiency in autoimmune diseases.

Recommended for skin. After careful study, I compared other drugs and ordered beta-carotene from Solgar. I take one capsule, and on sunny days, I take two. I tan beautifully, without burns. Beta-carotene, unlike vitamin A (retinol), is non-toxic, and overdose isn't an issue; you will notice effects swiftly (yellowing of the skin). It accumulates in the skin and can be converted to retinol as needed, acting as an antioxidant. Unlike retinol, beta-carotene works slowly, so patience is key; I take it daily for at least a month. I've struggled with problem skin, including redness and pimples, but now my skin is smooth and even. I still can't believe it. Highly recommend.
