We discovered that a diet enriched with omega-3 fatty acids can effectively reduce symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis (AC) in mice. This reduction occurred without influencing the typical immune responses usually associated with allergies. Instead, omega-3s worked by changing the lipid molecules linked to inflammation.

Most importantly, my severe cold allergy that caused intense scratching and cracked skin for months has dramatically improved with regular Omega intake. I typically take one capsule daily after lunch, and I advise maintaining a schedule of three months on followed by one month off.

After a few days of use, I developed red, itchy pimples on my body, resembling allergies. I typically use Omega from local pharmacies, which do not cause allergies but make me feel quite tired.

Skin condition improved
I chose this omega instead of the Omega 3-6-9 from Solgar. The quality is good, and I took one capsule a day. However, after using Omega 3, I developed allergies in the form of dermatitis and urticaria, along with itchiness. I believe Omega 3-6-9 is safer. My hair improved, becoming shiny, and it effectively regulated my skin condition, reducing dryness while managing oiliness—this was particularly beneficial during winter.

I do not know how taking omega will affect the long term. However, after a year of use, I can definitely say it's a powerful source of energy for me. I also observed that my "allergy to the sun" was not as pronounced this year. I recommend it, but do not expect a quick result.

At first, I didn't connect the Omega with my acne breakouts. However, I realised after some time that when I stopped taking it, the acne disappeared. A few consecutive days of taking it seemed to trigger small breakouts again. This acne appears to be due to an allergy to the capsules' excipients rather than the Omega itself.

We explored the effects of maternal omega-3 fatty acid supplementation on the development of allergies in infants. In a study involving 95 pregnant women, half received omega-3 supplements while the other half received a placebo.
