Promising results for fish oil
We investigated the impact of dietary fish oil, rich in omega-3 fatty acids, on hydroa vacciniforme, a challenging photosensitivity disorder. Three boys with the condition took five capsules of MaxEPA daily for three months. During follow-up tests, we observed that all boys had lower sensitivity to UVA light, indicating a positive response to the treatment.

While one child demonstrated a significant improvement, another showed mild progress, and the third did not improve but later responded well to another medication. Overall, fish oil may reduce UV sensitivity and improve rash outcomes for some patients.

Fish oil emulsion improves rash
We explored how a parenteral fish oil emulsion can help treat essential fatty acid deficiency (EFAD) in a soy-allergic teen who had gastrointestinal issues after a bone marrow transplant. Initially, he showed a rash and an unbalanced plasma ratio indicating EFAD due to fat-free nutrition.

After starting the fish oil treatment, his rash disappeared within 10 days, and his plasma levels improved significantly. This result highlights that fish oil can be a safe fat source for patients who can't use traditional lipid emulsions, effectively treating the rash linked to EFAD.

We investigated whether maternal supplementation with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) can impact infant health outcomes. Through a rigorous double-blind study in Mexico, pregnant women took 400 mg of DHA or a placebo.

We found that while DHA helped reduce the duration of illnesses like cough and fever in infants, it did lead to a 22% longer duration of rash at one month old. While DHA showed benefits in other areas, its impact on rash was notably negative.

My gynecologist recommended this omega. After two weeks of use, my skin transformed—it's now healthy, dense, and smooth. My previously common rashes have ceased. Fine lines appear less pronounced, and my lips are no longer dry. The skin looks good without the need for heavy makeup. I ordered a larger jar as I'm pleased with the results. Occasional fishy belching has occurred, but it isn’t bothersome.

On my endocrinologist’s suggestion, I’ve been taking this omega consistently for 6 months. I observed my hair becoming less prone to breakage, and my skin has become much more moisturised, with rashes less frequent, especially on my arms and back. My concentration is improved, and my nails are visibly stronger. I'm very satisfied with this product!

Previously troubled by rashes, I now find my skin well-nourished and smooth, while the appearance of nasolabial folds and crow's feet has improved notably. I no longer require foundation, and I ordered a larger size. Overall, it’s been very beneficial.

Fine! A wonderful omega that I have ordered multiple times. I noticed a difference by the second week of use, feeling much better overall. I used to drink omega from another brand, but I’m very pleased with this choice! It has really supported my immune system and the extra benefit is that my skin and hair appear healthier. My daughter, who is 8, had rashes, but her health has improved since taking this as well. We all take it now, just one tablet daily, as the concentration is high at 950 mg. The quality of Solgar is top-notch as always.

I acquired these as an additional source of Omega, and the balanced composition is commendable. The effect was evident after a couple of weeks; I felt more energetic, and my skin rashes have diminished. The capsules are large but contain an oily liquid. They are reasonably priced for such quality.

The doctor prescribed omega for both my husband and me. It worked for him, but I experienced allergic rashes on my forehead, which cleared a few days after stopping the medication. After trying it again, the skin problems recurred.
