We explored how zinc oxide (ZnO), often used as a feed additive, affects diarrhea and gut health in piglets infected with the ETEC K88 strain. Through careful observation, we found that piglets suffering from this infection exhibited significantly increased fecal scores compared to those not affected. Our findings revealed that ZnO administration counteracts these negative effects effectively.
