Melatonin improves sleep apnea outcomesEffect of melatonin on insomnia and daytime sleepiness, in patients with obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia (COMISA): A randomized double-blinded placebo-controlled trial.
We investigated how melatonin affects patients with obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia. In a double-blind trial, thirty patients received either 10 mg of melatonin or a placebo for a month.
The results were striking; those taking melatonin reported better sleep quality, less daytime sleepiness, and greater adherence to their PAP devices. Improvements were noted across several assessments: the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Insomnia Severity Index, Epworth Sleepiness Scale, and Functional Outcomes of Sleep Questionnaire showed significant gains for the melatonin group.
Thus, melatonin appears to be a promising option to enhance sleep quality and treatment compliance in this challenging patient group.

My son's Autism teacher mentioned melatonin when my child was three. Logan was staying up all night and would only fall asleep when it was time for school. I was at my wits' end! After trying Source Naturals, Melatonin, orange-flavoured tablets, I was saved from Truancy Court. Now my child sleeps like an angel.
