Lifesaver at night
96 people found this helpful
A true lifesaver for sleepless nights. I have had GERD (Gastro-oesophageal Reflux Disease), where my stomach juices back into my throat. I initially had a prescription until my doctor let me down, and the GERD persisted. I tried Gaviscon, Tums, and Rolaids. I wanted to take Zantac, but it was withdrawn due to cancer concerns. After some research, I discovered Pepcid. Just one tablet upon waking with a glass of water, and another around 3 pm, has completely resolved my night-time issues and daytime activities. I can now enjoy soda and spicy food without trouble. I also take strong pain medication that contributes to my GERD, but there are no adverse reactions with Pepcid—just be sure to consult your pharmacist regarding interactions.

A classic medication that continues to perform well. With Zantac's concerning recall, I switched to Pepcid, recommended by my GI doctor for my acid reflux/GERD issues. I take it alongside a delayed-release prescription version of Prilosec (Omeprazole DR 40 mg), which is still covered by insurance. I take Prilosec in the morning and Pepcid at night before bed. This combination prevents acid from rising in my throat during the night. The pill is tiny and easy to take. I only wish the max-strength version was available in a 90-bottle like the regular strength.

No migraines

Helps my reflux. Pepcid does alleviate my reflux, but more importantly, it does not cause migraines. Most acid reducers trigger migraines, but this is the only one I’ve found that doesn’t. I will continue using Pepcid!

Diet change success

It effectively manages my acid reflux. I switched from a prescription medication to this over a month ago. I've adjusted my diet slightly, eating smaller amounts twice a day, and I'm thrilled to report it has eliminated the awful acid reflux, allowing me to stop taking harmful drugs.

Nighttime reflux relief

A lifesaver for fantastic dinners! I take one just before eating something that could cause dreadful acid reflux during the night. I've never encountered issues, except when I took one too late, which was my fault. They are so tiny I can swallow them without water. Thumbs up for those who wake up to the acid reflux nightmare!
