I've used a number of boxes over the years of different sizes and was sick and tired of how tricky it was to fill them. I like to fill multiple boxes for 2-3 weeks at a time so I don't have to do it every week, and loading through the access doors on a regular box was a PITA. With these boxes, just remove the bottoms, line them up side-by-side with openings up, and filling them up is amazingly easy. Then all I need to do is snap on the bottoms and they are ready to go! I even filled them up backwards once (AM-PM) and it was so easy to fix with these just by unsnapping the sides, lifting the compartment tray carefully off the bottom before rotating it around and snapping it back on.
To answer some of the questions I've seen asked: the doors are sturdy and you only need to open them once per use (and not to fill) so they feel like they'll be good to go for quite some time (unless you're one of those folks that likes to drop the thing on the floor from time to time and blame the company that made the box). The lettering does NOT come off very easily unless you scrub the tops frequently (I never do. why bother?). I like the size for everyday use, but they are big for traveling. When on the road, I like to put my pill box in a ziplock bag before packing it (pro-tip for any pill box, BTW), and it takes a full gallon size for this thing - but the size makes it easier to load, of course
