We aimed to understand how different types of milk affect bloating, particularly focusing on A2 milk versus regular A1/A2 milk. In this study, we conducted a randomized, double-blind, cross-over trial with 40 participants who reported experiencing gastrointestinal discomfort after consuming milk.
Over two weeks, each participant consumed either A2 milk or A1/A2 milk, separated by a two-week washout period. Using various assessments like symptom rating scales and digestive symptom questionnaires, we examined the effects on bloating and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
Our findings revealed that A2 milk did increase reports of bloating and loose stools compared to the A1/A2 type. However, participants also indicated experiencing less abdominal pain and urgency when consuming A2 milk. Interestingly, fecal calprotectin levels were less elevated after consuming A2 milk, particularly in males, suggesting that A2 milk may help alleviate some digestive discomfort.
Overall, while A2 milk was associated with less abdominal pain and urgency, some individuals did experience increased bloating. Despite this, the study didn't report any significant adverse effects, suggesting that A2 milk could be a viable option for those with mild digestive issues related to milk consumption.

I give these to my two sons to help with their ticks, which have been worse during allergy season. The older one's ticks have disappeared completely. Even with the onset of fall allergies, they've been coping well.

We analyzed how dupilumab, a treatment for severe asthma, affects a specific protein known as club cell secretory protein 16 (CC16) and other asthma-related symptoms. In our study, we included 25 patients who received dupilumab and underwent CT scans before and about four months after starting the treatment.
We found that treatment with dupilumab led to significant improvements in asthma symptoms, quality of life, and key lung function measures. The number of mucus plugs in patients' airways decreased, indicating better airway health. Interestingly, we observed that serum levels of CC16 increased significantly after treatment, suggesting that the protein plays a role in the airway's response to dupilumab.

This is a must-have. This product helps my family stay healthy during cold season. Last year my 5-year-old suffered from colds, ear infections, and asthma every eight days, necessitating weekly visits to the paediatrician. Since using this, if he catches a cold, it is milder. I also give him Mullein leaf tea.

We investigated how immune components in colostrum and mature human milk affect infant health outcomes in their first year. In a large study with 398 women from the UK, Russia, and Italy, we found that higher levels of interleukin IL13 were linked to a lower risk of eczema and food allergies. Surprisingly, elevated levels of transforming growth factor β2 were associated with an increased risk of eczema. Additionally, a protective relationship was noted between hepatocyte growth factor and occurrences of the common cold.
