Works great – even for a dog!

This is probably not the typical review for this product, but here goes... My dog suffers from dry eye in one of her eyes. The eye is basically non-functional, and it no longer produces tears. She constantly has problems with discharge and infection in this eye. My vet told me that the typical treatment is a chemotherapy agent to force tear production, but he doubted she even had the capability to produce tears, so he recommended this brand of eye drops for her. The change in her eye has been dramatic. Her eye isn't gross anymore! But the coolest part of this whole thing - when she sees me grab the bottle of eye drops, she comes over to me right away. She doesn't flinch or pull away when I put these drops in her eye - that's pretty revolutionary for her! I think this product has significantly improved the discomfort she has been experiencing, and she figured that out pretty quickly

SYSTANE ULTRA drops are much better

I developed severe dry eyes almost a year ago. Restasis drops don't help and I've ordered many different brands. I ordered this one by mistake thinking it was the SYSTANE ULTRA version that I have found to be awesome. This version of Systane drops didn't work as well for me as the Genteal brand drops. I highly recommend Systane Ultr instead. They need to be shaken before use but the drop size is a little smaller so they don't overflow my eyelids and they are immediately soothing and longer lasting. I was amazed at the difference. Gave these to my husband who rarely but sometimes uses eye drops after giving him one of my SYSTANE ultra bottles and even he could tell the difference (he uses medicated drops for glaucoma and doesn't have severe dry eyes). I think the ULTRA drops might be a little more expensive, but if you suffer from severe dry eyes, they are worth it. I read an article online that the combination of SYSTANE Ultra with Restasis is a better combination than Restasis alone so if you gave up on Restasis like I did might be worth trying Restasis again and see if the combination works better, which I plan to do. If you use artificial tears for minor dry eye, I think this version of the SYSTANE brand drops will be just fine though

It works

This product does help my dry eyes. I do stare at a computer and tv screen for about 18hrs a day 7 days a week. Just a few drops in each eye gives me relief for hrs at a time. I do recommend this product and I hope this review has helped you out and hopefully you don't have to stare at a computer and tv screen as long as I do. Excellent long acting eye lubricant.

I had cataracts and they were removed and replaced with the accommodating lenses. Which are great. I seldom need reading glasses and my vision is 20/10 with the accommodating lenses. I never realize that they are there or working so well except in dry eye situations areas/vehicles with high power fans or inside with gas heat and dry air for the heat. Dry eyes are often an apparent side effect with the accommodating lenses. My doctor had me try all types of eye stuff including his expensive RX. A friend with the accommodating lenses suggested that I use Systane Ultra Drops/SUDs. They work well in the day time and not so well at night. The Optometrists at my clinic said I could use the SUDs as often as needed. That gets to be very expensive besides the nuisance aspect. I use a CPAP machine at night and even with a good mask fitting, my eyes would get very dry each night. I had to use the SUDs 2-3 times each night. A friend had/has the same dry eyes problem with her accommodating lenses. Her new Opthamologist recommended that she buy this product and use it at first at home when she didn't have to drive and before going to bed. She went from several drops per night and several times to just one pre bedtime application. He warned her not to use it, if she planned to drive within 30 minutes. She uses it in her office when she gets there in the morning and does great for the rest of the day. If she plans to stay home that evening. After she gets home, she uses it then and later when she goes to bed. I got my first bottle of Systane Long Lasting Lubricant Eye Drops, 30-mL in late April and started using it before bedtime and 30 minutes before driving. I have had immediate relief from my dry eyes. That bottle lasted for 2 months. I use it in the daytime if the heat or ac is on or in buildings like our church or big stores with high ceilings. Again don't use it if you need to drive in 30 minutes or less. It still works at night in spite of my CPAP machine with the mask around and below my eyes. I am saving a lot of money with this product versus other options

Bad expiration date, can't get refund

I purchased this product thinking I would get a quality item. Instead, I received a product which expires in 2 months. I only use this when needed and I was expecting to use this product for at least several months. I tried to return it but returns are not allowed for any reason. The product description said nothing about this. I did a chat with Amazon and got a generic answer stating no refunds are allowed on this product. I think I chatted with a computer. It also referred me to the refund policies which I checked out and nothing on that page stated anything about refusal of an eyedrop refund. I am very disappointed with Amazon. Update: after finally contacting a live person at Amazon, they refunded my money

Same Dollar Cost, but Double the Volume

Compared to the physical pharmacy I usually visit to stock up on Systane eye drops, Amazon offers an incredible value: the same dollar cost, but double the mL. As I use Amazon Prime, I receive free shipping which then makes this one of the easiest decisions I can make on replacing a physical everyday product with buying from Amazon. Although the paper package was beat up from the delivery process, the product itself was in good condition and did not leak any fluids upon receipt. The product was not expired or defective and had over a year to the expiration date. Even though this cost a bit more than other brands, especially store-brands, I prefer Systane over competing eyedrop products as Systane has consistently worked for me without any irritations or problems. I value the consistency of quality for something I put in my eyes everyday

Systane Long Lasting Lubricant Eye Drops is Great for dry eyes

Because these are lubricating eye drops your vision is a little reduced at first. I use this at night before bed and again if I wake during the night and when I first wake up.Great for dry eyes. I use Systane Ultra Eye Drops during the day for fast relief. I am on the computer about 8 hours per day. My Eye Doctor recommended this brand. A little more expensive but you will notice the difference over other popular named products

Even Your Eyes Needs Moisturizing

I thought I would never cry again after LASIK surgery. One of the possible side effects after LASIK is that you could lose the ability of your tear ducts for a certain amount of time (this depends on the person). Your eyes will get very dry a lot, and you are advised to use lubricating eye drops and keep it on you at all times. If you respect your health and your eyes, use it, and use it whenever your eyes feel dry. A few drops in and your eyes will be overly wet, give it a couple minutes until your eyes can see clearly again. Reuse as necessary. Yes, it took about a year of use until my eyes were back to normal, but that's a small price to pay for my now 20/20 vision. There is also the Systane Ultra Lubricant Eye Drops , which feels gooier in your eyes, but definitely coats it longer. Take care of yourself, and keep your eyes lubricated with these drops. Even if you didn't have surgery but you get dry eyes a lot, I would suggest using these. Recommended

Great for humans & dogs!

These drops are the ONLY ones that work for my dry eyes! I've even had prescription drops that don't work as well as these and the prescription drops were like mucus ... thick & goopy while these are thin like normal eye drops. They make my eyes feel lubricated, silky & smooth. I've been using them for over 7 years & swear by them. Also, around 2.5 years ago I began fostering a senior dog who is blind in both eyes from cataracts. 1-2 drops & the redness VANISHES for the rest of the day & she stops rubbing her eyes

They really work

These are the eyedrops my optometrist recommends. I have an issue with dry eyes, and these work better and last longer than anything else I have tried--and I've tried alot of eyedrops
