My Terrasoul package arrived on time and was nice and full

The most HONEST brand I have seen in regards to maca powder. The market is saturated with 'high quality' maca at insane prices at the moment. The price per ounce has doubled over the past year for several brands and they skimp on how much power is actually in their 4oz, 16oz packages etc. My Terrasoul package arrived on time and was nice and full. I have managed several juice/smoothie bars and the yield is much higher with this brand. Not to mention the quality of the Maca is dope. If you take anything away from this review...invest in maca because it's going through the roof price wise...and if you want to add some high quality maca power to your your diet buy this brand

Made my Menstrual Cycle Even Worse!

Before I bought this product I did a lot of research on the effects of maca and all the sources I found said it's wonderful for hormone-balancing and safe to use, even during pregnancy. My hopes were that the maca would help balance my hormones, regulate my cycles and increase fertility. I started taking it in the middle of my cycle, and once my period started I experienced the most painful cramps of my life. I wasn't sure if this had anything to do with the maca or not, so I continued taking 1/4 to 1 teaspoon almost daily. My cycles aren't regular, but they are never longer than 35 days, so by day 42 after a few negative pregnancy tests and still no period, I quit taking maca and within a couple days I got my period. Upon further research, I've found that maca can act as a phytoestrogen, so it may have negative effects on women with estrogen domonance. I'm disappointed I had to learn this the hard way. I did have clearer skin while taking it, and it's a quality brand, but it should not be used by everyone

Great quality product as described.

Maca has been a part of my supplementation for about a year and Terrasoul offers a great product. Personal tip\preference. I transfer part of the product into a smaller air tight zipper-style bag so I am not exposing the entire bag to air\moister\possible contaminants each time I open to dispense

Best Bargain You Will Find Anywhere!!!! <3

I am very pleased with this product! Not only is it a decent size, but for the price it's a steal!!! I searched everywhere for Maca Powder for around $20 but anywhere I found it had it marked upwards of $30 for the the same size, sometimes even smaller. I have only used it once so far, but I didn't get sick or anything so I will trust that they mean what they say about the quality of the ingredients. I will defiantly purchase this product again assuming they don't raise the price above "ridiculous". On a side note, I will say I wasn't very happy with was the seal on the bag. Its suppose to be resealable but for the life of me I could not get the seal to snap shut again. I don't feel that's worth docking any points for, but I would like to see the seal improved to keep the product fresh longer. I had to store mine in a separate ziplock bag. The bag also comes only a little more than 1/2 full like a bag of potato chips, but again, its worth the price

Bad smell and lumps, bad product

2nd time ordering. First time was good. This time it was bad... opened the bag and the smell was not good at all. There were lumps after lumps. Something you would expect of poor quality products. Not sure if I'll buy from this seller or brand anymore. Especially when a return is not available. I'll most likely check out my local store. Any one had similar issues with this product

Look into the benefits of maca

I use this product because it is organic and it's benefits. I put a spoonful in a shape and drink it. In doing so, I don't notice the taste. It doesn't taste bad, more like a light powder form seasoning. You should research maca root to understand the full benefits. It's good for men and women. I recommend it. It gives me energy and helps with female issues due to my hysterectomy. I don't take anything prescribed and I'm 46 years old

Very Good Maca

I generally buy Vitacost brand maca but this price was excellent and I thought I'd try a different brand. I don't see a difference in the quality and the product is very good

I recently switched to Raw Maca

I have been using Terrasoul's Maca for about 5 months now. I started using the gelatinized Maca at first and I had wonderful results. I feel like I have more energy and sleep and wake up easier. These seem to be the most significant effects for me. I noticed when reading reviews people all had different things it seemed to help more with. I take it in the morning mixed with my protein shake and I don't think it tastes bad that way. When I first started I tried it by itself and it was not very tasty. I have found that if I don't put it in my protein shake I don't like the taste as much anymore. It adds a little extra sweetness. I recently ordered the raw Maca instead of the Gelatinized version. I haven't noticed a significant difference in health effects yet, it's only been a few days. Some people say that they experience stomach discomfort with the raw version, I did not. The raw version does have more fiber so I wonder if having a high fiber diet helps. I will update my review after taking the raw for a longer period of time, but so far so good

they were all pretty much the same

I purchased three one-pound bags of non-gelatinized raw Maca Powder from different manufacturers at the same time, all similarly priced, and went through them all before reviewing. The three brands reviewed were Terrasoul Superfoods, The Raw Food World, and Kiva If I had to choose a winner I would choose the Terrasoul, it just had an earthier, deeper flavor and scent that was apparent immediately upon opening the bag. It was the last one I reviewed so maybe I was just more discerning at that point, I'm not sure. Not a scientific review process I know. Honestly for the most part, they were all pretty much the same, so buy whichever is cheapest per ounce (including shipping) for you. I would go for the others if they were a few dollars cheaper, but given similar pricing I would choose the Terrasoul

Great!

It's maca powder and it tastes like it. I add it to strawberry smoothies and think it works really well with real vanilla extract. The flavor doesn't work for me in everything...like fresh citrusy or green drinks, but your tastebuds will have to figure out what they like it in. Great place to buy it
