Night and day difference. More energy and focus! “Coworkers noticed a “bright” change in me”.
I mostly work 10 hour shifts at a long term care pharmacy and have been sluggish the past few weeks, even on normal coffee and 8 hours of sleep. Ever since I have introduced MCT into my morning routine, I have had so much energy and focus at work that even my coworkers had noticed a "bright" change in me. One of my close coworkers said, "You're more awake and happier than usual and it's creeping me out... Tell me your secret!?", so I explained this to her but she was put off by the idea and wouldn't buy it. I don't blame her. Adding oil to coffee/smoothies isn't really a mainstream/common thing to simple-minded people. I was also skeptical at first, but I've been doing this for 2 weeks now, added to my health regimen, and noticed a night and day difference in my energy and cognitive functions. I wouldn't say it's placebo, because I even tried it for a night shift (6pm - 2:30am) and when it was time for me to clock out and get to bed, I had trouble sleeping from being so wired, so I've stopped taking it too late in the afternoon. This is actually fantastic for someone doing some late night cramming before an exam. I also noticed a stomach tightness and slight nausea the first few days because I jumped in full dose (1 tablespoon). Nothing painful or debilitating. It went away within the hour. I'm not 100% positive but this could be attributed to the Caprylic Acid content which is known to cause "Die-Off" symptoms from killing candida yeasts in the gut. The same effect can come from eating too much Coconut Oil, which also contains the same acid. My sugar/carb/junk food cravings have dropped significantly.. which is also a benefit from balancing candida yeast overgrowth. Anyway, I'm still doing research on this. NOTE: I wouldn't recommend anyone to start full dose as everyone's body is different. These past 2 weeks; After having my morning coffee with MCT oil, I drink water ALL DAY. I use a 1 liter bottle that I refill 3-4 times a day. This, along with a healthy diet, will have a major positive impact on your health and brain functions. If you're jumping in to reap the benefits of MCT oil, why not reap all the benefits from making other major changes to your diet? You can't rely on MCT oil's benefits alone if you're dehydrating yourself and eating junk food all day! So, for the naysayers who haven't noticed a difference or down-voted this MCT product, keep the above in mind. THIS PRODUCT WORKS. Try this 30 day challenge: Start taking your MCT oil in the morning, however you take it (coffee, smoothie, etc) EAT HEALTHY; Minimize sugar/Carbs/Greasy foods/Junk food Drink at least 8 cups of water a day (if water is too boring, add sugar free, flavor drops/packets. They're usually sweetened with Stevia) (Optional) Exercise 3x a week for 30 minutes; Can be Yoga, Cardio, Walking your dog, whatever.. -After 2 weeks, you'll notice that you'll notice MANY positive changes. KEEP IT UP. COMMIT. DISCIPLINE. -If you normally exercise or hit the gym, adding MCT to your pre-workout will give you a good amount of fuel and keep you energized Try this smoothie recipe: 1-2 cups frozen or fresh fruit 1 cup almond, soy or coconut milk 1 cup plain yogurt (Get it with live cultures added!) 1 tablespoon MCT oil (Optional) 1 tablespoon Chia seed -Add to blender or vitamix (Optional)-You can even add flavorless Whey protein isolate for an AWESOME post workout smoothie. Take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt, even my review. IF you actually do your research, you can learn new things and not be that person that posts up a negative review just because that ONE single product didn't meet your expectations. To reap health benefits of certain products like this, you generally have to follow a daily regimen and healthy diet protocol. Nothing works overnight JUST like that.
