So pretty and easy to use!
_Pros_
Attractive design: as part of my condition, I often struggle with being willing to refill my organizer, leading to later days of missed pills and/or forgetting whether I've taken a given dose. With the colors and the sun/moon icons, this organizer is pretty enough, coupled with the easy fill bottom, that I don't experience that problem as strongly as I did with my previous organizer.
Relatively easy to open individual compartments: I do not have arthritis or pain in my hands, but I often find things difficult to open because of reduced coordination and strength in my hands. The push-to-open styles in some other boxes are easier to open, but this one surprised me by how easy it is for me to open the individual compartments given that it isn't push to open.
Very easy to fill: I love the bottom open feature. I do not have difficulty with the side snaps that keep the bottom on, and it is so nice to be able to open all the compartments at once. Each day is a different color and the lids are transparent, so it is easy to tell which day is which even when it's upside down, in case some of your pills are weekly instead of daily.
Transparent lids, translucent walls: it's fairly easy to see from a distance whether I've taken that dose when I'm having trouble remembering, even if I re-close the lid after emptying that compartment.
_Possible cons_
Squared bottom: the bottoms of the compartments have vertical walls and square corners. If you have significant dexterity challenges and small pills, the trays with rounded and sloped bottoms are easier to fish pills out of.
Fixed day order: the compartments are fixed, with the day printed on the lid. I don't know if the lids are removable, if you desired to rearrange the day order that way. They are set in 2 rows of Sun-Sat, marked with a sun for the top row and a moon for the bottom row.
No push button open: I still find these individual compartments fairly easy to open, but they do require slightly more coordination/dexterity/finger strength than the push to open style.
Size: for my needs, this organizer is overly large. I'd prefer something more compact. Someone who takes many large pills per dose may have the opposite problem.
_Unknown_
(I don't use the organizer for these purposes, so I can't comment on how it performs)
- Travel: I leave this sitting on my dresser. I haven't dropped it or stuck it in a travel bag, so I don't know how durable it is or how securely it stays closed with jostling.
- Large and/or many pills: I'm currently on 2 smallish pills per compartment, for which there is plenty of room.
- One handed fill: I can open the individual compartments fine with one hand, but I use 2 hands to snap off the bottom to fill
_Bottom line_
I wrote the "possible cons" as just possible rather than certain because they don't really bother me. For me, the pros far outweigh the cons. It's attractive and easy to use, and a huge improvement over the other systems I've tried to manage my pills.
It does the job and looks good doing it
