Watch your intake
I initially tried xylitol for cavity prevention. My first use resulted in severe diarrhoea after making cold coffee, scaring me away. However, a smaller amount in a chocolate bar didn't cause issues, and it turned out delightfully well.

Best alternative sugar
Xylitol is my preferred alternative sweetener, but if consumed excessively, it can lead to diarrhoea. I sometimes use it instead of laxatives as well.

Causes diarrhoea
The taste is delightful, but it triggers diarrhoea, which doesn't suit my digestive system. Despite reading that it may not suit everyone, I regrettably overlooked this.

Adapting to xylitol
I will never return to sugar after using this. It tastes just like sugar, is beneficial, and stable for baking. However, my body needed 1-2 weeks to adjust, and consuming over 60 grams can cause diarrhoea, though this stops once you're used to it.

Gradual consumption recommended
Xylitol is the best sugar substitute for a keto diet and beneficial for dental health. Gradual consumption is essential to avoid diarrhoea. If you find my review helpful, please give it a thumbs up.

Excellent for constipation
It's excellent for constipation. However, one should be cautious if experiencing diarrhoea or weak stools.

Adjustment period
This is a good-tasting sweetener, one of my favourites for health-conscious use. It's beneficial for cooking, nasal sprays, and rinses. It doesn’t trigger harmful bacteria in the mouth; however, going too fast can lead to gas, diarrhoea, or gastric discomfort. Being a sugar alcohol, it is a natural product and gives a cooling sensation similar to erythritol and sorbitol. To my taste, it is like regular sugar.

Good for diabetes
Xylitol works perfectly for me as a diabetic. I prefer it over Splenda due to its lack of aftertaste. I do experience occasional diarrhoea, but it’s bearable and does not last after adjustment.
