Effective, safe pelvic pain treatment
We evaluated the use of hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate through intravesical instillation to treat refractory painful bladder syndrome in forty patients.

Over several months, patients received weekly treatments and reported significant reductions in pain and symptom severity, as measured by multiple scales.

Impressively, all participants tolerated the treatment well with no documented side effects. Overall, our findings suggest that this approach is both safe and effective for managing pelvic pain.

Hyaluronic acid reduces pelvic pain
We aimed to understand how effective intravesical hyaluronic acid (HA) treatment is for women suffering from refractory interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome (IC/PBS). In our study, 33 patients with significant pain received weekly HA instillations for four weeks. We assessed their pain levels and overall symptoms at the end of the treatment.

The results indicated that HA instillation was both effective and safe, helping to reduce pain among participants. Interestingly, we found that previous treatments or the presence of Hunner's ulcer did not influence HA's effectiveness.

Positive effects on postoperative recovery
We evaluated how New Cross linked Hyaluronan Gel (NCH gel) influences patients' quality of life after surgery for Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis (DIE). In a well-structured randomized controlled trial, patients received either the gel or a placebo saline solution post-surgery.

Our findings showed that those treated with NCH gel reported significantly lower pain levels and improved overall health scores at three and six months after surgery. This suggests that using NCH gel can enhance recovery and quality of life following endometriosis surgery.

Hyaluronic acid aids pelvic pain relief
We explored the effects of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HMWHA) on pelvic pain in pregnant women through a pilot study.

In our research, 200 women received daily oral supplements of HMWHA along with other nutrients. In comparison, 50 women formed a control group taking magnesium only.

Results showed significant reductions in pelvic pain, preterm birth, contractions, and hospitalizations in the treatment group. Our findings suggest that HMWHA could be a promising option for managing pelvic pain during pregnancy.

We explored the impact of high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate (HMW-HA) on pelvic pain caused by radiation-induced cystitis. In this prospective study involving 30 patients across seven centers in France, participants received six weekly intravesical instillations of HMW-HA.

Results showed a notable reduction in pelvic pain intensity and improvements in other symptoms, like hematuria and urinary frequency. These positive outcomes were stable even four weeks after treatment. Thankfully, the therapy was well-tolerated with minimal side effects.

However, we recognize that more in-depth studies are needed to solidify these findings.

Hyaluronic acid shows promise
This study looked into how well hyaluronic acid (HA) treatments help relieve pelvic pain in patients with bladder pain syndrome and urinary tract infections. We found that, after long-term use, patients experienced significant reductions in symptoms like urinary bladder pain and urgency. Remarkably, around 75% of participants saw complete relief and needed no further treatments.

Overall, our results suggest that HA can be a valuable option for improving quality of life in those suffering from these conditions, making a positive impact with few side effects.

We analyzed the effects of Hyaluronic Acid-Chondroitin Sulfate (HA-CS) on women experiencing pelvic pain and urinary urgency due to interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome (IC/PBS). Seventeen patients received this treatment while waiting for surgical intervention for urinary issues.

After treatment, we observed notable reductions in pain and the frequency of urgent bathroom visits. Impressively, 82.3% of patients reported significant relief, indicating HA-CS may aid in identifying those with pure stress urinary incontinence.

HMWHA aids in miscarriage symptoms
We investigated whether high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HMWHA), along with other supplements, helps reduce pelvic pain and improve hematoma resorption in pregnant women facing threatened miscarriage.

In our study, we enrolled 56 women experiencing this condition and divided them into two groups: one received standard care, while the other combined standard care with HMWHA and additional nutrients.

Results showed that the treatment group not only experienced quicker resorption of the hematoma but also reported a faster relief from symptoms like abdominal pain and bleeding.

Hyaluronic acid may alleviate pelvic pain
We investigated the effects of an intravesical treatment combining sodium hyaluronate and chondroitin sulfate on women suffering from interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome. Over several months, participants reported significant improvements in their pelvic pain and symptoms, indicated by notable drops in their questionnaire scores.

We observed that this treatment was not only effective but also safe, with no side effects reported. However, we recognize the need for larger, more extensive studies to further validate these promising outcomes.
