Jeanne A Drisko, MD, CNS, FACN, is a respected University of Kansas Health System faculty member. She served for over 20 years as a professor and the Hugh D Riordan MD Endowed Chair for Orthomolecular Medicine and Research. Currently, Dr. Drisko is a professor emeritus. Dr. Drisko founded the KU Integrative Medicine program in 1998. During her tenure as director, she adhered to the four pillars of the academic institution by providing education, patient care, research, and service to the community and the nation. She developed a fellowship in integrative medicine recognized by the American Board of Physician Specialties with graduating fellows board eligible. Dr. Drisko is widely recognized for her research in integrative medicine practices and has been invited to teach at universities worldwide. Patients came first, and the integrative medicine clinic practice attracted patients from across the US and many foreign countries. In 2018, Dr. Drisko stepped back as director of the KU Integrative Medicine clinic but continued as Director of KU Integrative Medicine Research. She continues scholarly pursuits and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Drisko is a member of the prestigious Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health, where she served on the steering committee for 13 years. Because of her integrative medicine expertise, Dr. Drisko has been tapped to work with multiple national committees, including the Institute of Medicine committee for the American public's complementary and alternative medicine therapies, with the report published in 2005. Her passion remains for the whole person's health and freedom, and she is honored to be named board president of the Alliance for Natural Health - USA.
