Dr. Raul Colodner is the Director of the Laboratory Medicine Department of Emek Medical Center and the Regional Laboratories of Clalit Health Services in Northern Israel. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1955. In the last 30 years, he has been involved in diagnostics, clinical research, and teaching, as a senior clinical microbiologist. Dr. Colodner has authored and co-authored 79 peer-reviewed articles and presented 84 abstracts at international meetings. His main fields of research are bacterial resistance to antibiotics, rapid diagnostic methods in bacteriology, and the use of probiotics for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.
