Professor Shahin Akhondzadeh received his PharmD from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) in 1989 and his PhD from Glasgow University in 1995. He is a full professor at the Department of Psychiatry, TUMS, with a focus on bridging pharmacology and psychiatry. Professor Akhondzadeh has been a member of the British Pharmacological Society since 1995 and a fellow since 2006. He currently serves as the Vice Dean for Research at the Faculty of Medicine, Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
