Dr. Mohammad Firoz Alam has been working as an Associate Professor (Toxicology) in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, College of Pharmacy, Jazan University, Saudi Arabia, since 2010. He completed his doctorate degree in environmental science from Grukul Kangri University, Haridwar, India, in 2006. His area of specialization is environmental toxicology. He is an expert in toxicology studies like hepatotoxicity, cardiotoxicity, neurotoxicity, nephrotoxicity, phytotoxicity, immunotoxicity, cancer, and diabetology. He has more than 18 years of experience in teaching and research at graduate and master's levels. He has planned, developed, and carried out high-impact research in the past for prestigious international journals. He has successfully finished more than a dozen approved projects, and some are still in progress. He has published more than 50 articles in peer reviewed journals. He has supervised many Pharm D as well as Master of Science (Pharmaceutical Science and Applied Toxicology) students for scientific research, at College of Pharmacy, Jizan University, Saudi Arabia. He has recently focused on exploring the natural resources (plants) of Saudi Arabia for the development of future therapeutic drugs for multiple health challenges.
