Siluleko Mkhize is a doctoral candidate in the School of Physiology at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a BSc, BHSc with honors in Applied & Experimental Physiology, and a Master of Science in Medicine (MSc Med) in Family Medicine & Primary Care. His research focuses on the functional role of novel biomarkers as potential therapeutic targets in pressure-overload-induced adverse cardiac remodeling and different heart failure phenotypes.
