The organic Echinacea Purpurea herb is exactly as expected and arrived on time. The cut herb includes the stems, leaves and flower petals, which are all medicinally active portions of the plant. Echinacea root may have stronger medicinal value, but is sold separately and at a premium price. Echinacea is used to boost the immune system and is a common ingredient in medicinal teas available in the supermarket. This package contains 552 servings, with a serving size of 1 tsp (820mg). The entire package is 453g. To see the value, compare this to the contents of grocery store brands (pictured) which offer a total of 24g and 32g per box respectively. Utterly confused… fairy wings in my Tea

I went back and forth with myself on rather or not I should right this review. 1. because it was incredibly difficult to find echinacea not mixed with something else(this one is mixed with the wings of fairiesðŸ§šðŸ¿â€â™€ï¸ (lady bugs). 2. Because this is the second time I've purchased from this seller(there was one fairy wing in the first bag). 3. Because I'm truly confused and embarrassed that I might actually like the taste of fairies ðŸ§šðŸ¿â€â™‚ï¸ðŸ§šðŸ¿â€â™€ï¸... The tea: The first bag I purchased only had one fairy wing in it the rest of the tea seemed to be a good quality with a good balance between flowers and leaves. The second bag also had one faiy wing in it and... what appears to be the fairies butt ðŸ˜ that's where I had to draw the line and what prompted this review. I think I was slightly ok drinking the essence of one or two fairy wings knowing there was a possibility the fairy might be alive and well living in quarantine like the rest of us ... but the butt!? ðŸ˜ I may or may not give this tea one more shot. However, I'd be doing the public a disservice if I remained silent about the fairy wings... Good Day

Due to our drought here in California my echinacea failed in my garden so I was happy to find an organic source for echinacea tea.. I have several bouts with colds every Winter and I was afraid I'd have to ward them off without my echinacea boost. Would have been 5 stars except the mix is a bit heavy in stems which have less active ingredients

Great for sore throats!

I ordered this for my daughter who's away at college. She was developing a terrible sore throat, and I had heard that echinacea can be very effective in treating sore throats. She had amazing results making a tea out of it and drinking at least a thermos full every day: sore throat cleared up in record time, and she's sure it saved her from missing classes at the very least. One thing she figured out is not to brew it with boiling water - apparently it extracts some unpleasant flavors and aromas - so use hot water before it comes to a boil, or let boiling water cool slightly before brewing. If you're impatient, you can add cold water to reduce the temperature more quickly. She says that, when it's made right, it should have a very strong, rather strange smell, best described as "tylenol" or "old lady perfume." Despite this, I am assured it is magical and tastes very good. Apparently, it has started a craze among her group of friends. If you're bothered by the lack of caffeine or the unusual aroma, it does mix well with a little special gunpowder green tea (and likely with other "grassy" flavored teas), which will help. :

Frontier comes through again! But be sure to watch ingredient labeling

I have ordered my echinacea here several times & have never had an issue. The herbs are great quality & some of the best prices I've found online. The only thing I can say is to always read their labels, however. I'm unsure why, but sometimes Frontier spices/herbs are JUST the herb, but then other times I see the exact same item with additives in it, like silicon dioxide or other not ok with me ingredients. So read the igredients each and every time you buy to be sure! I'd have given this 5 stars if I could trust I'd always get the same thing, but since I can't, I give it four

No flower or root. Leaves only.

This is only the leaves, not flower or root. I was actually confused and thinking that they mispackaged it because it definitely is not like other echinacea I have purchased. I would not have purchased if I knew it did not have flower or root in it. Misleading

Fresh

This echinacea is so fresh, and so delicious. And helpful for a lot of maladies. Oddly in the past when I've used echinacea I've gotten skin rashes, but for some reason this brand has never given me a rash. For that reason alone I love the product! Will definitely continue to order this quality product from Frontier Co-op. Pros: -obviously very fresh herb -very strong which is important for medicinal purposes -delicious subtle flavor as a tea -wonderful 'green' scent, but not overwhelming Cons: -The bag that it comes in isn't great, and requires a transfer to another container after openin

Way more cost effective than buying the pre-packaged teas.

Nice leaves and a decent value. I store them in a glass wide mouth jar for easy access along with my other medicinal teas. I used to buy Traditional Medicinals, Yogi and other similar brands of medicinal teas in packets. I've slowly been switching to bulk leaves and Frontier Products have been a good value and of good quality. Just do the math on the amount of actual leaf you're getting per sachet. It's really not much for what you're paying. Here you can dose up or down depending on the therapeutic strength you're after
