Saved my life

These literally saved my life. I have been struggling for the past several years with horrible anxiety and sever panic attacks. The panic attacks would be so bad that I couldn't leave the house sometimes. I thought I was going to be on disability from work. It was hell to say the least. After taking these for the past 3 months, my anxiety and panic attacks are virtually gone. It appears I was deficient in calcium as I was taking lots of magnesium prior to taking these with little success. Once I started taking these with the Cal/Mag it made a world of difference. My blood pressure has also been a lot lower when I go to the doctor. I have white coat syndrome and doctor's office's stress me out and my BP used to get like 154/90 now it's like 120's/80 or so. Finally, I've also had several teeth that used to be sensitive and are no longer sensitive at the gum line. it didn't happen over night but looking back over the past 3 months I can tell a big difference

This is calcium carbonate, not ctirate

I was looking for a new calcium supplement and I love the NOW brand. The price was right and I started taking the recommended dose as soon as it arrived. Within a week, I noticed my nails were splitting. I always rely on my nails to tell me if my calcium is working. I thought maybe it was just me getting used to another brand, but the next week, the same thing. My nails were breaking and splitting. I decided I wasn't going to order this again, but I would finish off the bottle. Then, a few days ago, when we were getting toward the end of the bottle, my husband mentioned the same thing. His nails were much weaker and splitting. His nails are always strong as, well, nails :). I knew something was up. I did a little research and realized that the calcium in this brand is calcium carbonate. I've been using calcium citrate, which my body absorbs much better. I was happy to realize that I just ordered the wrong calcium and that it wasn't that I has some unnameable disease where I couldn't absorb calcium anymore. Yep, my mind went there. Resolution: I'm going to be sure to double check the type of calcium before I order next time. If you have the same issue, try ordering calcium citrate instead

Helps with milk supply!

I take this supplement to help with my breast milk drop during my period. I actually take it every day. 1 in the am and 1 in the PM. Helps keep my supply somewhat regulated. If I don't take it I can see a dip on my supply next time I pump during my period. Must take to prevent a dip in your supply whether you pump or nurse

Want to test your calcium tablet to see how effective it is and how much calcium your body can even absorb from it before it passes through your system? Drop this pill in a cup of distilled white vinegar and set a timer for 30 minutes. Stir it occasionally and see how much of the tablet dissolves in 30 minutes. That is all that becomes available to your body to use. I have been taking this exact supplement for over a year without any benefits and performed this simple test to discover why. The photo is after one hour of soaking in vinegar- not any significant change in dissolution of the solid. It is cheap, un-usable by the body. It is a waste of your time and money to take Now Foods Calcium. I am looking for better options, even if they are way more expensive

HUGE PILLS

Wow, I can take like 10 pills at a time, or even more, and never a worry about getting them down. But, one of these practically choked me. I am a bit more careful now when taking them. But, other than that, they do a great job, and seem to be absorbed well, as I feel better and sleep better at night when taking them

Good cal/mag source if you've had to eliminate dietary sources.

As someone with a casein sensitivity who's also cut back on grains to help with some doctor-recommended weight loss, it can be difficult to get enough calcium and magnesium. After all, dairy is just about the richest source of calcium there is, and whole grains are a big source of dietary magnesium. If I don't get enough calcium and magnesium, I get tired, anxious, unfocused, and I get nasty muscle tension. It's not pleasant. These help me make sure that I get enough each day without having to eat dairy or too many grains. After I mostly eliminated dairy and cut back on grains, I started experiencing more and more muscle tension, fatigue, and anxiety. Didn't take too long to realize it must be some kind of dietary disruption due to cutting some big mineral sources out of my diet. And, while leafy greens like spinach, as well as nuts like almonds and cashews, are great sources of either calcium, magnesium, or both, getting 100% RDA of cal and mag from nuts and leafy greens would be both time consuming and expensive. So, while I do eat nuts and veggies daily, I also take one of these tablets (broken in half and taken at lunch and dinner), which gets me 500mg of calcium and 250mg of magnesium, which is a good start, and I get the rest through food. For me, at least, the RDAs for both minerals are pretty spot-on. If I come in significantly under the RDA on either of them for a few days, I FEEL it. Muscle tension, jitteriness, and fatigue all creep back before long. Why 4 stars though? Calcium carbonate and magnesium oxide. Amino acid chelates are generally regarded as superior, but these are a good price, and they've helped more than a little, so I'm certainly going to finish the bottle. I may shop around for something that provides cal and mag in these ratios but that are amino acid chelate sources

Helped raise our low levels, while supporting other health benefits as well

Purchased this calcium & magnesium to help with our low levels in both. This was the first version we tried, and it will probably be the only one we will ever need. These have lifted both of our levels back to normal, with my wife's almost doubling. When this supplement arrived, we always check to see it our pill bottles are sealed tight, and this one was sealed very well. It had a seal around the lid, as well as a tight seal under the lid. The bottle was fairly full, which is usually not the case with pills. These tablets are white in colors and are on larger size for most supplements. The same day the pills arrived, we opened them and they have a powder smell, that was very fresh. The bottle says to take 2 tablets daily; we take ours at breakfast. To try these out, we started off with half of one pill for each of us, just for a few days to be sure these worked without causing added discomfort or other side effects. They did not cause any problems, so we now take one full tablet a day. We have been taking these for a few months and they have helped us both with multiple issues. Besides raising our levels, they also made my blood pressure better and helped my wife sleep better & made her aches better as well. This amazed us since we were only taking half of the recommended dosage; but we usually only need half of the dosage on most pills. Pros: No bad flavor or bitter taste while taking Non GMO and have no wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, and more Helped to raise our low levels back to normal No bad aftertaste or side effects Helped my wife sleep better & with her body aches & Made my blood pressure levels better Cons: Pills are very large; not a problem for us, but could be for some Overall we love these calcium & magnesium tablets as one of the supplements we take. We would recommend them to help boost their levels, plus support other health benefits as well. Great dose of calcium and magnesium.

Great doses of calcium and magnesium. We need very high doses of these minerals in our daily recommended intake (DRI) and no supplement meet the requirement due to high pill size. So we definitely should take at least one of this pill even if we take another supplement with multiple vitamins and minerals. For bone health, it is best if we take calcium and a K2 vitamin supplement (MenaQ7 brand is the one used in clinical trials). This vitamin activates a protein (osteocalcin) that binds calcium to the bones, and activates another one (MGP) that prevents calcium from binging in the arteries walls causing arteriosclerosis. I wish it had only quelated minerals because they are better absorbed, but it would increase pill size, which is unviable. I have no problem swallowing it though. I take one pill every night

Noticeable Difference

I bought these exact pills and ran out for about a month… There is a noticeable difference between when I am taking them and not taking them. I get super stiff and achey, especially my feet (could be an early onset of arthritis, but I'm only in my 30s, so I haven't been in to get it diagnosed). As soon as I started taking these again, no more aches. I run 5-6 miles a day, and I do a workout approximately 5x a week, so I'm pretty active. I am an adult, so I have no problem swallowing these and find it funny that so many people complain about the size… they're really not THAT big. Either that, or my husband is just a lucky guy. To summarize, if you're an adult that can take pills without choking, could use some extra cal-mag and/or have stiffness and aches frequently, give these a try. They just might be the miracle cure you're looking for
