Positively affects memory. Typically, brain cells receive energy from glucose, but if insufficient, the body resorts to using ketones for fuel, which coconut oil is rich in. In dementia patients, areas of the brain that are less sensitive to glucose can effectively absorb ketones, verified by positron emission tomography. Thus, for Alzheimer's patients, coconut oil can provide an alternative energy source. I administered it to my mother, and I noticed an improvement in her memory. However, she developed diarrhoea after two doses, which I had to halt. She then opted for 1 capsule in the morning and evening with meals. I certainly felt more alert, and my memory for numbers significantly improved, making calculations easier.
