Good Supplement For The Eyes..Really Has Helped Me

I really do believe this supplement has helped my eyesight. I went through a period where I was waking up in the morning with vision that was slightly blurred. It wouldn't last long but it was very annoying. After ruling out really scary things like diabetes, I did some research and came across Lutein that really does help the with the deterioration of your eyes due to age. Or the degeneration of the macula, to be more technical about it. It wasn't long after starting to take this that my morning vision improved, I mean really improved.. The blurriness is occasionally there, but very slight and it is continuing to get better. I am very pleased with the result and I have been taking it ever since. This Doctor's Choice brand is comes at a good price and is a very solid and pure dose of Lutein for your money. If you have problems focusing, or with blurriness, or just want to protect your own macula, I highly recommend you add this to your regimen... :

Unfortunately Had Side Effect for Me

Not that I believe there was any problem with this particular Lutein but I decided to start taking it after having an unusual eye problem come out of nowhere. Heard that Lutein was excellent for eye health. Started taking it for about a month or so and then realized I was getting mild migraines more and more frequently. Looked it up and it could be a side effect. Stopped the Lutein and have not had a headache since. I have friends who take it on a regular basis with no problems but thought this was noteworthy

Used To Be 20mg Each Capsule, Now It Says Take 2 For 20mg

I've been buying this here and taking it for years. I'm sitting here holding my old bottle and it says each capsule is 20mg. Checked on the back, yep, take one per day, 20mg total. The one I'm looking at right now to buy says, on the back, to take two capsules for a total of 20mg. This means that the 120 caps in this bottle will equal 60 days worth, not 120 days worth. Anyone who isn't aware of this, who has been taking this product a long time like myself, will continue to take one capsule per day and will only be getting 10mg of product, or half of what they're used to. This isn't going to stop me from buying the product. It just irritates me and makes me feel discouraged. And now I have to write TAKE TWO! on a label on the new bottle when it arrives so I don't forget. Just for everybody's info. If I'm wrong, please comment

Doctor's Best 20 Mg Lutein

My eye doctor said some of his patients who are on the computer for many hours a day had been taking this and it seemed to help with eye strain. My eyes were always tired and by the end of the day, after looking at the computer screen for many hours, my eye sight was blurry. Night driving also became difficult. I started taking Lutein a few months ago and it really seems to have helped. I'm going to keep taking it and see how the next few months go. I know my eyes feel less tired at night and I do see better when driving in the dark, so it's doing something

This is not the same ingredients it had back in May!

Thought I would give everyone the heads up before they buy this product. I bought this back in May, it was a good price, and I was very satisfied with the product. I also got a good report from my eye doctor last month, saying my vision had improved. The label on the bottle I have with me states that it has 20mg of Lutein, and 2mg of Zeaxanthin. Now that it's time to buy more I noticed on the back of the label in the picture says it now has 20mg of Lutein, 1.5mg of Zeaxanthin, and .15mg of Cryptoxanthin (which is vitamin A, for the skin). The recommended amount of Zeaxanthin is 2mg and the recommended amount of Lutein is 20. The bottle I bought in May doesn't have Cryptoxanthin. I'm not buying this again, and don't understand why they don't keep it the way it was. We need the full 2mg of Zeaxanthin, and not any Cryptoxanthin for our eyes. I'm not happy, now I'm going to have to buy something more expensive

Lutein 20 mg

An opthalmologist prescribed Lutein for me years ago because my mother had macular degeneration. I have no way to compare the effects of the Lutein because I have never gone without it while my eyes were being followed by a researcher. I do know that my mother was a smoker..45 years..and that does support the development of mac degeneration. I have never been a smoker so feel that is on my side. So far, and I am 81, my eyes are in great shape. I have given this product 5 stars because I have no reason to give less. In other ways, physiologically, I am also young for my years..so I am told

Great for tired eyes, and for seeing small details clearly

WHY I TAKE LUTEIN I work at a computer all day like most people. By the end of the day, my eyes often get tired and text can look blurry... so much so that it can be hard to read. Luckily there are supplements that I've discovered can help when that happens. The ones that give me the most dramatic relief are lutein (which usually comes in a capsule with zeathantin) and astaxanthin. Taken together, they clear up my vision quickly and effectively. A half hour after taking them, my vision's usually back to normal, and I can read small print comfortably again. So I'm a big fan of lutein, and recommend it for people wanting to protect and perhaps even improve their eyesight. WHAT'S THE BEST BRAND? Until recently I took Jarrow's lutein, which I loved. When it ran out I decided to try Doctor's Best's version. DB's Lutein costs 11 cents per capsule; Jarrow's costs 15 cents... not a big price difference actually, unless you're into taking large doses. (I usually take two at a time, so my "cost per serving" is 22 cents with Doctor's Best or 30 cents with Jarrow.) Jarrow's product is a liquid in softgels; DB's is a powder in a gelatin capsule. My impression after using them both is that Doctor's Best works as well as Jarrow's. I took some this evening, took a little nap, then after the nap found that my vision was sharp and clear... I could read tiny print on my computer screen without difficulty. SIDE EFFECTS I've taken lutein for years without side effects, but the last time I took it, my hands started itching. I looked up "lutein itching" and found that this is a known side effect. Another time, my eyelid started itching (another common side effect). In both cases, the itching passed after a few minutes. I didn't experience itching when I took Jarrow's product, so will probably switch back to Jarrow when it's time to reorder. I don't know why I experienced itching when taking DB's product; it may just be a personal idiosyncrasy. I haven't seen evidence that others react this way. So at this point, I'd recommend both brands equally

Love this product!

I've been taking this brand of lutein for a couple of years now and also swear by it. If I miss a couple of days I notice a definite difference in my vision, especially increased blurriness. I also had my annual eye exam today and my optometrist agreed that lutein is very beneficial to take. This particular pill count seems to be the best value for your money, and I do believe Doctor's Best is the best brand on the market, not just for lutein

Effective high dosage Lutein! Great for your over all eye health! Really works! Easy to swallow!

I'm a long time loyal user of this product. Lutein Esters has helped improve the health of my eyes. I have a problem of blurriness of vision when I wake up. This problem is exacerbated especially after staring at a computer, tablet, or cellphone screen for too long, which is a problem many people have to deal with these days. It was really affecting my vision and my eyes were always blurry and tired. I normally have near 20/20 vision, but near constant exposure to these factors has really negatively affected my eye health. This product has really improved that blurriness and I have found that if I even stop taking this product for a day, it really is evident that my vision deteriorates. I find that this product really works. Lutein really works, and I advise people who have tired eyes or are concerned about maintaining their eye health in general should really look into using this product. That being said, Doctor's Best Best Lutein is an awesome product. The capsules are easy to swallow and do not have any residual aftertaste. The amount of lutein inside each capsule is also substantial or more than the amount that other alternative lutein capsules contain, which means increased effectiveness. I highly recommend this product that I can't go a day without

Not for me

I had bad stomach pain from the moment I started taking these until I stopped it. I used them several days because I had no idea which supplement was causing the problem since I was on 2 different ones. Obviously it was this one because I stopped taking it and the pain stopped. I wish it had worked for me because I need something for the floaters in my vision. If you know of anything please comment below
