This really works as part of a blood-thinning regimen…

My integrative primary care physician prescribed this to me several years ago because my blood was "thicker" than it should be. As a way of avoiding pharmaceutical blood thinners, he put me on this, 1 capsule daily--along with 500 mg of Flush-Free Niacin, and high dosage of Omega 3's (I buy the Nordic Brand). Within a short period of time, my blood work showed immediate improvement, back to normal. The only downside is that I cannot take any aspirin products... but I make do with other pain medications when needed. I've also found that the NOW Brand is extremely reliable and provides great purity and value compared with other supplement brands

I must say this... this is amazing. I used Solaray's version, nothing. This however, has changed a lot. I know from how my body bounces back from after being dragged to hell on my period. This time , yes I went to hell and hung out in the fire pit of pain for a while but the after effects was shocking. There was no excess pain and heavy bleeding that usually happens 2 days after the cycle. Of course this is my first use of this product, I will buy again just to be sure

Helpful tip: NATTO is soy guys! (research please)

NATTO IS SOY for those that don't know, This is the funniest thing for me to go through these reviews of people saying they purchased and then saw it had SOY in it! It's a soy based food product. Please do your research before purchasing. They don't add soy-it IS soy made from fermented soy beans

Works well but BE CAREFUL

Check with your doctor first. A careful web search will reveal that if you have a history of blood clots, this can loosen a clot and cause it to circulate in your body

Allergic reaction

I had an allergic reaction, which is listed as a potential side effect on various medical websites so just be aware that anaphylaxis can occur up to 12 hours after ingestion in sensitive individuals. I was sad it didn't work out for me because there is some good research that was encouraging about this produc

Perfect

I am a believer! Since purchasing the product I've stopped experience the discomfort of my fibroids. I've not been evaluated for shrinkage but I can tell that I'm feeling better. I combined it with the other suggested products and WOW! Well worth the purchase

Bad Reaction After 3 Days

Unfortunately, I've got to rate this "NOW Foods Nattokinase 100mg, 60Vcaps" at an Unusable 1 star out of 5. I had a bad reaction to it on my third use. Within a half an hour of taking my one pill at 9:00 pm on the third day of use, I started having severe shakes throughout my body. This lasted for several hours. I have no idea why this happened since I've read nothing like it concerning Nattokinase use anywhere. But, since I'm certainly not using Nattokinase again, I've got to give it that rating. Now, assuming I could use it again, the one issue I have with the physical product itself is that it would probably be nice if they were enteric coated. These are just standard gelcaps (as noted in the product description) and probably dissolve immediately upon entering the stomach. An enteric coating might better let them pass through the stomach's acid environment and let them dissolve in the intestines instead. However, I've never seen any actual studies saying that's correct. So, it's just a personal preference

I have a history of very painful periods. Lately I've been getting them every two weeks and breaking out like crazy every time. I was at my wit's end. I got checked out and the only things the doctor found was a cyst on my ovary (apparently very common and usually go away on their own) and what she referred to as "uneven uterine lining." That could mean fibroids or could be do to something else... hard to say. In any case, I decided to try to see if I had any options other than going on the pill, so I tried nattokinase, serrepeptase, and DIM. I had a little occasional mild cramping over the time I have taken this, but have read that this is not uncommon. It has been a month and my cycle has come at the 27 day mark, plus no pain so far, plus I don't feel heavy and bloated like I usually do-- I also don't feel the exhaustion and irritation I usually get, and I have had virtually no breakouts! I will update if this continues, but so far this has been a lifesaver for me

I have used the entire bottle according to the directions on the label. I have not seen a difference in my blood pressure. I am ordering another one with the hopes that it will work instead of using my prescribed blood pressure meds.
