I want to share my sister's experience with pancreatin. She suffers from chronic pancreatitis and has been in discomfort. Although this resembles the pharmacy product Creon, she found pancreatin much more effective, noting a significant improvement with less bloating and a reduction in heartburn. If you're lacking pancreatic enzymes, consult your doctor about switching from Creon to pancreatin. Wishing everyone good health.

Try it! I felt obliged to leave a review for this product because it genuinely works. I started experiencing odd stomach aches recently and, while I never visited a doctor for a formal diagnosis, I conducted extensive research on my symptoms... I realised that I probably have pancreatitis due to frequent drinking, irregular eating, and sluggish digestion. Last Friday, I woke in the night with intense stomach pains, reminiscent of past kidney issues. After enduring severe pain over the weekend, I remembered this product in my cabinet. I took three pills and, about 30 minutes later, most of the pain vanished. I managed to eat an entire meal without pain or nausea, and even now, I feel like I'm properly digesting my dinner. No more indigestion. Pancreatine 4X is a must-have for digesting heavy meals or for occasions when there are no natural enzymes in the food I consume. As a middle-aged adult, I experience no indigestion if I use digestive enzymes with my meals. When dining out, I slip one into my pocket to avoid post-dinner heartburn. It works far better than over-the-counter antacids and is more natural, making it better for you. I have been using this product for approximately one year.

I have Stage IV pancreatic cancer with tumours that are too large for surgery or radiation. The dire diarrhoea helped me get a proper diagnosis. I am undergoing chemotherapy with Gemzar and Abraxane. My oncologist prescribed Pancreon, which cost me over £90 after insurance. A friend recommended using Pancreatin instead, and I've used it for over a year. It hasn't cured my diarrhoea, but it is much better controlled now.

Salivary α-amylase levels in vertigo: Can it be an autonomic dysfunction?

We explored how salivary α-amylase levels might relate to autonomic dysfunction in patients experiencing vertigo from Ménière disease (MD) and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Our study focused on individuals admitted to the emergency room for vertigo attacks, comparing results from 15 patients with MD and 9 with BPPV to a control group of 10 volunteers.
By collecting saliva samples during the attacks and on subsequent days, we aimed to see if there were significant differences in amylase levels between the groups. While we did find that the amylase levels post-BPPV attack were considerably lower than those in the control group, the differences between MD and BPPV patients were not significant.
We noted an interesting undulating pattern of amylase levels across both conditions, hinting at a potential autonomic imbalance in BPPV. However, the overall findings suggest that while amylase may offer some insight into the body's response during vertigo, its direct effectiveness as a treatment in this context remains unproven. Thus, further investigation is warranted to clarify its role and effectiveness.
