Boron is essential… but this is not the one for me
As iodine is an excellent fluoride detox for the thyroid, boron is an excellent fluoride detox for the bones and joints. Boron deficiency is closely associated with arthritis, osteoporosis, and degenerative joint problems. Deficiency can also lead to low testosterone, carpal tunnel, weak cartilage, low libido, and receding gums. Boron is involved in the regulation of the parathyroid hormone, and enhances the body's ability to use calcium, magnesium, as well as vitamin D. It also seems to assist in brain functioning and recognition. Boron seems to prevent calcium and magnesium from being lost in the urine. It also helps in the synthesis of ceruloplasmin needed for copper to work in the body, copper will not be usable unless its attached to transporters like ceruloplasmin. Excess Vitamin D supplementation can also deplete boron. Boron can lessen Vitamin B2 and Vitamin B6 levels if taking a higher amount.
